Those predicting a lopsided victory for Edina have clearly been over-dosing on the green cool-aid. This will be a close game, decided in the third period.

nipeshow18 i dont know man but you say your not for either team but you seem to rip moorhead on there every post? I here your opinion but Edina has lost some games they should have taken. Also many people say the coaches are going to not over look Moorhead? It has to do with the players more then anything. Another thing is Moorhead has been turning it on latley this game will be close with Either team by two goals, I say that because one team will pull the goalie and get scored on by an empty net still going strong with Moorhead 4-2 empty net!!!

Dean, your literacy skills are far lower than what I originally thought, because if you would have read all my posts, the only time I have ripped on Moorhead is after you make dumb, arrogant comments. I could honestly careless who wins this game, but because of you I want Edina to blow your beloved Spuds out. It is totally fine to have an opinion and root for your team, but do it in a sensible manner and have some knowlede on hockey and the other teams in the state. Now I am done responding to anything you say for two reasons. Reason one is because your posts are impossibly hard to understand, and reason two is because it is a waste of my time to respond to a biased Moorhead student. You and rockets4 can PM each other and have conversations in your jibberish language about how good the Spuds and Rockets are.

everyone knows edina is the best team. they will win by 5

Edina is too good this year for the Spuds, their return to state unfortunately will have to result in their second game being at the Mariucci.

I just lost a pretty dang good post.

Moorhead is something like 1-4-1 against the Top 10
2-7-1 against the Top 20
and
12-2-1 versus the rest.

I'm not impressed.

Okay OTownclown its anyones game, its state!! Edina got an empty net last game and a goal with a second left in the second period. Pretty much 1-0 anyones game, not to mention spuds have been playing better since December so if your going to say that its not even going to be close your wrong.

I'm with you dean. Things change during state. Every year there is an upset that people will talk about untill the next year at state. This year it will be the spuds upsetting edina. I'm still sticking to a 5-3 game with an empty net goal. Spuds have come a long very long way from schwans cup in december. I was wondering... this is a blog, not a college paper so why does somebodys grammar matter? I always thought it was the point that counts. so dean looking back, lot of people dogging on you for mis spelling. keep doing it just to piss them off!

i dont even understand what you guys are arguing about...even if Moo-head did make it past Edina(which they won't), it's not gunna matter. You guys basically had the DREAM TEAM of Minnesota HS and still couldn't pull anything off. For all the Moo-headians out there, cheer loud, good luck, but like i said, nothing matters for the potatoes. You're still gunna lose and amount to nothing more than a runner-up banner sitting in the sportscenter.

I guess the old saying "Great minds think alike" can work the other way because unbelievably stupid minds obvioiusly think alike too. Find me after the Edina game because I have season tickets and will sell you a consolation ticket for cheap. You need all the rest of your money to purchase an education and/or a brain. This is why it is too bad my post was lost. You say they are playing better but there is no evidence. The schedule had some decent teams on it and they lost all those games. The schedule eased and they won.

Moorhead has not done well against good teams. Sorry.

The only way I can see Moorhead beating Edina is if Edina has a huge let down after knocking off Jefferson, which really wouldn't be that far fetched, but I have high doubts that it happens... just my 2 cents on how I could see the upset happening.

lets get real edina 7 moorhead 1 ... this is gonna be another repeat of moorheads last appearance in the championship game where they switched goalies three times....( that was like watching a retard try to hump a football) being the spuds arent starting the freshman who is by far the best goalie they will be making their first change in the first period then changing back half way into the second

This is State, All the games earlier this season dont mean anything right now. There next opponent is all that matters. I feel anything can happen, but after watchin Edina lose to HM in the ship last year.. Those boys are hungry... I'm NOT impressed, either (with your numbers). Taters are 15-9-3 right now, your numbers add up to 14-9-2. You lost 2 games somewhere - better check your calculator batteries.

This should be a closer game than most think. They played earlier in the year and was a close game with an empty net goal. That was during the Spuds losing streak also, I think the Spuds are the best unseeded team and the worst matchup for Edina. With Marks playing his best hockey and Moorheads best player coming back and with Moorhead being as hungry as they are for their first state championship i am going with the spuds. Everyone likes to see an upset
