The best thing happening today in USA Hockey is the involvement of Mark Johnson I think he understands the MN talent base even if he is not heavily recruitng it.

The Thoroughbreds are starting the season strong. Is this their year to beat Shattuck and represent MN at the National Level? Shattuck has recently suffered several ties and losses against MN Elite Teams.....

What is the prognosis?

Here are the results of the Thoroughbred;s Tournament:
Consolation: Notre Dame Hounds 1, Eastman Selects 2
Third Place game 32 : Pembina Valley Hawks 1, Madison Capitols 2
Championship Game 33: MN Thoroughbreds 2, Pursuit of Excellence 4 (open net)

Note: Pursuit of Excellence is 26-0 this season so far and possibly the best u19 team in North America. The Thoroughbreds fought hard and almost tied it in the last 2 mins, but came up short.

A very good tournament well attended by many college coaches.
