Wow, hats off to Edina.
To me it looks like, at least right now, their in a class of their own.

Well they are dropping the puck on the game right now. Any administrator who even attempts to sanction the Hornets for playing this game should be shown the shortest rout to the door.
This will be a great tune up for both teams, as Edina should favored to take State and the Fire will be representing the area in the Pee Wee International Championships in Quebec next month.
This should be another great game in this series. Edina holds the edge 2 games to 1 with the Fire right now after their 5-3 win last month and it appears both teams are playing their best hockey of the season.
Buckle up for a great one!

Midway through the first period the Fire have the Hornets hemmed in their end and have taken a 1-0 lead ...

A young defenseman from Northfield has given the Fire the lead. Great kid. Great hockey family ... rich history (St. Olaf's) ... his grandpa (in his 70's) still plays

The Canadian kid just scored ... wears the number of his idol ... 99. The kid has the hardest shot of any pee wee kid i have seen south of the Canadian border ... fills the net ... tough in the corners and in the slot ... good player
Second Period .... Fire 2, Hornets 0

Bingo! 2-1 just like that ... Hornet Power Play stings again .... more bad news for Fire fans ... another penalty ... Hornets are back on the man advantage

13 minutes remain in a 2-1 hockey game but the Hornets have really turned up the heat ... the entire play is now in the Fire zone and Edina is all over them ... Fire goaltender is standing on his head right now ... great little goalie ... plays for the '97 Blades in the summer season ... right now he is the star of the game ... this is a ton of pressure though ... Edina is really puring it on

Difficult to imagine this younger and smaller Fire team withstanding this type of sustained pressure from these older, bigger, stronger and elite 96 Hornet players ... it looks like men versus boys right now

Right now Edina looks like a Championship team ... but the scoreboard only reads 2-2 ... we'll see if there is any spark left in the Fire in these remaining minutes ... up here in Roseau underdogs are always live ;0)

Wow! Canadian kid scores again. There's that shot I was talking about! Blistering slap shot from the blue line ... the original 99 could never shoot that hard

5 minutes remain ... that's an ETERNITY for an underdog in a 3-2 hockey game ... can the Fire hang on? What a finish to a great game! Edge of your seats stuff ... relatively speaking in a pee wee hockey game ;0)

At the 2 minute warning you have to give the Hornets a HUGE advantage in a short bench situation ... Fire has depth but does not matchup well with the Hornets at the top. The Top 6-7 Hornets have a huge advantage over the top 6-7 Fire players ... but, stranger things have happened ... let's see how this turns out
