kane88 im gonna have to disagree with you i would rather go 2 and out on a team with respect for the game and a team that shows class while playing.

Consulation or even a state championship is not worth disrespecting the game which was displayed through ER fans, players, and coaches.

So yeah celebrate you consulation but what it comes down is we had a great year and dont have anything to regret because we played the game with class and respect that i think is fair to say you yourself didnt considering you got on here and insulted my team instead of celebrating what your team did.
seriously??? you are in high school and you cant spell consolation??? i would think you would know how with all the consolation rounds you have ever been in

BlaineJga I don't believe you saw the right fans.. The grand rapids fans were the ones swearing at us, and for elk river being so classless hockey players take a look at the penalties, every team we played had more penalties than us, I said we could skate with anyone I think we showed that. Good job to everyone, it was a blast. Btw we did have a new coach for the state tourny.

That's for sure. You can see all the brackets and winners at Minnesota Hockey.com

Edina beat Burnsville 3-2 in overtime. It was a hell of a game for both teams. Burnsville proved a lot of people wrong by making it to the ship and taking Edina into overtime. Thanks everyone for the great year!
I watched about 10 minutes of the GR vs ER game today. I find it very sad that the parents even swear at the other kids when they are winning by 5 goals. I mean come on Elk river have some class and win with class and lose with class. I think it is very uncalled for that the parents can not control themselves.
Man braggen just hop on the bandwagon of anyone who hated ER ehh? Especially if they don't have the information. I'm glad to say that we lost to the state champs Edina and we played them tight itt was a great game, and we now our consolation champs. Great job to everyone this weekend. Even you braggen.

I hated Elk River when we played em but i gotta say that their players classed up for state. Not saying anything about their parents but their players did.

an ot winner? wow.

my final rankings for this year:
1) Edina
2) Burnsville
3) Wayzata
4) Eden Prairie
5) Elk River
6) Lakeville
7)Tonka
8 ) Grand Rapids
9) Duluth
10) White Bear

absolutely will miss this stuff. talking with the lakeville players, games against edina and tonka, of course just goofin' around in the locker room, chirping players from stillwater, the list would go on and on..
hope to see some of you at the all star game on wednesday

private9, i think the tourney would have gone differently if wayzata had their full line up from the season. Im not trying to make any excuses for how they played, granted i'm not even on the team nor did i get to see them play at the tourney, but anytime you disrupt team chemistry there can be detrimental effects. Just sayin

without a doubt. however, regardless of having a full line up or not, they ran into a hot burnsville team. wayzata was one of the two premier teams for the regular season and basically the entire post season, its too bad they were short a few players. a great team overall.

I don't know that it really mattered that Wayzata was playing without a few kids. Your goalie was GREAT! He made so many incredible saves in that game. I think he had close to 50 saves. Ten for sure were point blank. In the other game we played against you, he did the same thing.

Dropping Duluth to 9 after a bad weekend, thats a bold strategy.

So where would you put them pal.

Maybe 8th.

What about 7th? Oh yeah, tonka beat them 2X.

So, 9th is about right...

Your really gonna say that because the Metro teams have a tougher road to make it to the State Tournament they should be put behind Duluth Because Duluth Made it to the state tournament. When there are only 3 teams in that region and 2 of the 3 teams make it to the State Tournament makes Duluth the better team. Do not get me wrong Duluth Deserves to be in the Top 10 but I would keep them at 9 where they are.

Noooooo....I'm saying they deserve to be ranked above GR and Lakeville, neither of which were able to beat Duluth in SEVERAL games during the regular season.

No way Burnsville is at 2. I would put Tonka higher up even though they did not even make the tourney. Duluth needs to be about 6th with GR and Lakeville who got handled quite vigorously by Duluth all season long below them. My final rankings are Wayzata/Edina for 1 and 1A (you pick it), Tonka at 3 (strong team who did well all season long and had a 1 game choke when it mattered), EP/ER/Duluth at 4, 5 and 6 (you pick the order, I think all three can beat each other on any given day). Then the rest can be listed below them in the "they never had a chance but at least got to play at state" list.

Honestly thought that if Duluth played their game they could win it all.......... But (as the MN Vikings say) there is always next year. :D

lakeville was 2-1-1 against tonka. also had beaten Burnsville once
split vs elk river lost to wayzeta and ep by one goal w 30 seconds left
both times. And Duluth never saw our former varsity goalie which was the anchor to our team. I would say that's a good enough resume to have given us more than no chance. We just didn't play well.... With that being said I believe Duluth "you guys" should havebeen 1 position higher than lakeville and grand rapids down to about 10 or 11 and tonka much higher but nothing will change now
