It is too bad MN has such a talented 2011 Class. There seem to be many girls who are underrated out there and are not being looked at by scouts because they are not the star player.

So it would be better to have fewer star players so the ones that aren't could get more attention?

I don't see Rachel Bona listed. Unless, I am missing it. I feel she is in the top 5 as far as fowards graduating this year.

Yes Bona is a top National Player. If you look at girls playing with the Ice Cats or the JR Whitecaps there are still some very good players who have not yet committed but have D1 talent (IMHO)
MN IceCats
F- 27 Bergland, Megan - Sr. Faribault
F - 7 Bona, Rachel - Sr. Coon Rapids - USA U18 in 2009
F - 9 Citrowske, Alex - Sr. Prior Lake
D - 6 Huneke, Brittney - Sr. Hastings
D - 11 Middlebrook, Delaney - Sr. St. Paul United
D - 14 Vogl, Greer - Sr. Edina
G -30 Press, Tiana - Sr. Benilde
Minnesota JR Whitecaps
F Sammy Reber, Edina
F Marissa Brandt, Hill Murray School, Vadinas Heights
F Hillary Crowe, Blake
G Allie McKeever, Hill Murray School, Woodbury, MN

Holy smokes, it's August before their Senior year--give 'em a chance. It's not neccessary for them to be committed to a school at this point. In fact, being committed at this time of the year, even as recently as 2009, was the exception, not the rule.

I know for a fact that Rachel has many opportunities. I'm sure she wants to visit schools before she decides. Which I would think all would want to do.
She is a great player and will surely play D1 hockey.

I talked with Crowe and Reber and both of them are still undecided on where they are going to commit. Where did you hear that they committed?

That would be my mistake....I thought I heard that from a reliable source..
But! The Superstar is wrong - My apologizies!!

Based on what I've been told, Crowe and Reber will go as a pair, wherever they end up.

That wont really be there decision. the college will take the player that fits the needs. 2 for 1 isn't really a reality unless it is a school hard up for players.

Huh? You're saying a kid who hasn't started her junior year in high school yet is "committed" to a college and the college is "committed" to her?
Is that crazy or am I mistaken?

Compared to Saturday's games, there were not as many coaches at the championship game. In this case the championship did not matter as much except to the girls playing. Congrats to the Ice Cats, but I think it did not determine any college offers. Give credit where it is due, they must have seen something before that game.....
