Better question..... whens the last time you beat Hill???

LETS GO POLARS AND PONIES
2005.

As a WBL fan (my username kind of gives that away). I'm definitely not going to say Hill is tough to judge due to their schedule. You're dillusional if you think otherwise. I've seen them play 3 times in person this season,(vs EP, WBL, Moorhead on TV and against Breck) and was very impressed like always. They are arguably the deepest team in the state, and I don't see any team beating them if the game is tied or they're trailing in the 3rd period. They have way too much depth and speed, and coached up perfectly to play with the lead. They trap you to death, and don't make dumb mistakes with the puck. It's going to be very difficult for ANY team in the state to beat them, yet alone from this section. Just my two cents.
So you did see them lose then.

Yes, I saw them lose to Eden Prairie. I wanted to go see that game, because I think they're the two best teams in the state. I left that game still believing they're the two best teams in the state. It was the best game I saw all season, and the only way people would see it again is in the State championship. Because there's no doubt they would be the top two seeds assuming they make it that far..

I'm not trying to hype up Hill Murray. I'm by no means a fan, but I've always enjoyed watching them play. It's just tough, because WBL hasn't been up to the talent level as them over the last 4 or 5 years. I'm just hoping they can put together another classic game at the Coliseum this year.

I am serious when I say this...

WBLHockeyfan04 has class everyone. Although HM is his team's arch rival; he can still suck it up and say HM has a solid team. It's not often you see this, especially if its a WB or HM fan commenting about eachother's team in this rivalry. Thank you, WBLHockeyfan04 for shedding some light on this discussion.

Best of luck to all of the teams.

Puckie.... and then you get buttwipes like me that abandon the WBL program and root for my other favorite teams : Northern team (East), favorite private (H-M), two other favorite SEC teams in Woodbury (because I golf and drink beer there) and Stillwater (because of Youngy).. \:D/ 8-[ =D>

As a Raider fan I'd love nothing better than to knock off Hill, however North St. Paul is playing their best hockey of the season and it should be a tough 1 goal game. If the Raiders come out on top we then can start the can Roseville upset Hill chatter. A little premature with this thread title for my supersticous liking.

Now we can start the discussion. Yes it can happen, he'll have to stand on his head and the Raiders will have to get all the bounces.

He showed respect and maturity; as should all fans.

Virtually any team can be beat at this stage of the game. It just boils down to who wants it more.

1. Hills team this year does have depth but lacks the offense of power it has had in the past... NEWS FLASH Nick Lehr single handly shutdown 2 teams with arguably the best offense's in the state in Burnsville and Wayzata....
2. Ive talkd to many people that have been going to hill games for years... across the board this is there weakest offense of team in a while quite frankly i dont think it can compare to WBL.. COUGH Mac Jansen 33 goals COUGH Brandon Wahlin 48 points (and they didnt play sibley, simley, richfield TWICE LMAO)

No jealousy from this side of town. Just not interested in reading HM propoganda in our newspaper!
NEWS FLASH iLLuminati_666 - If you ACTUALLY looked at Hill's schedule, they only played Richfield and Simley ONCE this year for 4 pts instead of 2 games for 2 pts each. This is the same thing that STA did so that they would be able to play more non-conference games. You can't help who your conference opponents are, you can only control your non-conference games. Hill does the best they can every year in making their Non-Conference schedule. If you look at non-conference SOS I would imagine that Hill's would be one of the toughest in the state every season.

Read CAREFULLY 666

Outside of the conference Hill usually plays some of the state's top teams...

Agreed.

It's confusing and annoying.

Moved my locked thread prediction to this thread.

I’m calling the upset! I’m a Roseville fan, but I don’t consider this a homer call and I’m willing to take the heat and criticism if I’m wrong. I take absolutely nothing away from the Pioneers, I do believe they are the best team in the state and have more talent up and down the bench than Roseville. Listed are my reasons for this upset call.

- I believe they have the type of goaltender that can keep this game close and steal a victory.
- I believe they have the overall team speed to skate with the Pioneers.
- They have a line that has started to click offensively.
- They do not give up many goals; play a very defensive minded game which makes them a difficult opponent.
- Their style of play can be very frustrating to play against.
- No one is giving them a chance (rightfully so)
- They are a pesky, gritty group that plays hard every shift; they are ok with scoring ugly goals.

Call me crazy, but I get these gut instints every once in awhile.

UPSET? Not likely, sure a hot goalie can steal a game but I don't think Roseville will get by Hill. I have only seen about 10 High School games this year, and from what I read EP and Hill are considered 2 of the top 5 best teams in the State. I did go to the EP Vs Hill game in Jan., from what I saw EP has great team defense, but when they took some penalties Hill was able to get some great scoring chances and scored on the PP. I don't know but I doubt Roseville is as good defensively as EP. The only way Roseville wins is if they stay out of the box and get great goaltending.
