Agreed here.... STA is not even close to 100% .. They havent been since the 1st... more like 50% IMO and they are still scoring.. No matter how you divide it good teams are going to be left out. Sections are divided by geography and not who is good and who is bad. What do you want? Warroad to play in New Ulm's section? And THIS ladies and gents is why the "section assignments " are Complete BS... Because teams like Totino, Virgina, Warroad, etc etc cant play because joke teams like New ulm and Alexandria do... COmplete BS.. THe tournament should be the best of the best , Not a sympathy walk into the tourney because you have a weak section....

I can half agree that some secitons are weak and have no reason to be that way. But......6a was hardly a joke this year, I would hardly call Little Falls, Sartell, and Willmar jokes this year, and Alexandria beat them out to get to state. Section 5A and 7AA are a little out of whack. That's two sections out of 16. Anyway, that wasn't even my main point. It's like the NCAA basketball tournament. You're always going to have a few teams belly aching because they didn't make the tournament but they had decent resumes. Im no tgonna talk out my A@@ like I know about all sections... BUT i will say they need to broaden the cites sections... WHy? Because theres about 4 sections clustered in together in the area.. and the ENTIRE rest of the state has 4? hmmmmm...
7AA covers up to Grand Rapids, to Duluth, to Brainard, AND all the way down to Forest lake, and ELk river?? Hmmm Maybe Im not that quick but do some Geography for me man, and tell me how and where thats close to the same amount of land area........
Couldnt have said it better, so sick of hearing people complain that sections should be divided based on which teams are good. I find it hard to call New Ulm, a team that had 20+ wins on the year (albeit a weaker schedule based on geography and conference), a joke team.
