Congrats to the 2002 Easton Synergy for winning the Championship game.

I guess sometimes the most talented team gets 3rd place. :D

Excellent game...marred by cheap shots by TB and big mess after final horn. No handshake. TB sent to locker rooms.

Didn't see any of the games but I told you they'd be big and physical

They were big but others were also big and as physical but I don't think that was the problem, all the little things after or behind the play. They had problems late in the semifinal game with Magicians, TB player(s) kicked out. Pretty sad in games involving 12-13 yr olds.

How would the Blades do vs the 2002 Machine Orange team? Have they played each other?

Who even knows if the 02 Blades could beat the 02 Machine Black let alone the Orange.

Oh, that not good. Has the 02 Orange played the 02 Black and if they have, what was the game like?

HD 41 -- sounds like you were at Plymouth last weekend watching some 02 hockey again. Would be interested in your perspective between the Synergy/Blades game and the Synergy/Black game. Seemed to me that the Black struggled against Synergy, while in the Blades game, Synergy played mostly in their own end, but capitalized whenever they got a chance.

Based on last weekend, maybe the Synergy would have beaten the Orange also, since as you said in an earlier post, the most talented team doesn't always win. Does the Orange team have a new headcoach yet?

A new coach was brought in a few weeks ago. Things are good.

Some of these posters get pretty wrapped up in 8 and 9 year old hockey. Everything changes in 3 years so I don't know what all the 2002 this versus 2002 that is so focused on. Relax and enjoy it while it lasts.

If Synergy and the Orange played 10 times the Orange team would win all of them. IMO

I think it is very possible that the Blades just had a bad game. It happens. It doesn't mean anything.

The Machine Black and Synergy match up pretty well, the Machine Black plays a more disciplined style of hockey, and Synergy plays with a tenacity that I haven't seen in many other teams this season. Synergy has won 2 of 3 and they were all close and could have gone either way.

Pretty sure these teams are going to run into each other again coming up so we'll see what happens, should be fun to watch.

There is no shame in losing to the 2K2 Warriors. In talking to a Blades parent, they are going to the Subway in Winnipeg. I didn't ask what division they were going in, Elite or Open. Looks to me like they haven't stepped up and played the Elite teams yet. I hope that doesn't come back to bite them.
