I watched them play the LSS @ the Warrior early in the summer season. They lost 8 to 7 I think. Both nice looking teams. Seems like the 00 age group has the most depth of any age.
Yes. Don't read to much into it. Scrimmage with both teams missing key players. Short benches, long periods, one official, and kids in dif spots. Hopefully a rematch this w/e which I think will be much tighter.
I agree. Both teams were missing kids. Not sure who was playing goalie. Icemen did not wear jerseys for some reason. Edge were just to fast for them with the short bench. I think a rematch would be great and a much better game. To bad there is no checking this weekend.

These guys sure do a great job of posting the game info on the web. I wonder why this tournament doesn't draw the big time teams like some of the other tournaments do?

HD- I had the same ?. Alot of choices nowadays. Must be twenty tournys during the summer season to choose from. Maybe timing, last week of school for many, one week before "subway".

This tournament almost always has fallen on the weekend prior to the North American Classic in Winnipeg. Most truly upper end teams won't play back-to-back weekends, especially when the second of those back-2-backs has a field the quality of the NAC.

That makes sense. In terms of upper end teams coming, maybe the Caribou will evolve into a NAC quality tournament in time. It's already become one of the better ones around here in my opinion.

Would be nice to see the likes of the Manitoba Lightning and Jr Steelers come down for the Caribou on a consistent basis. With locals like the Blades, Icemen and Machine already in it, it would get a step closer to the Stars n Stripes. With the agreement Bernie has with the Bauer Selects to come up here to play after the Orange plays in the Shuffle, the SnS still has the strongest field of the local events.

Saw the score was kinda lopsided ( as others said - its nice to have scores posted ). CCM that good or was the missing make that big a difference ?

Combo-I think we ended missing four kids , but lets not be stupid, they were MUCH bigger, faster, stronger, worked harder, smarter, you get the idea. Play @ 7:00 so we should see what we are made of. They were a nice looking 98 team. I can see them enjoying a great deal of success !!!!! I had one kid on rink 3 getting beat 10 to 0, and another on rink 5 getting beat 9 to 2. Made for a nice ride home!!! Strapped them both to the top of the wife"s van.....She didn't like it much but better than my idea of leaving them @ the rink, going home packing and moving without telling them!!!!!

I didn't know you had a kid on Legacy. I thought you were a Nats guy all the way! :D

Nevermind.... I see the 98 Nats lost 10-0 on the same rink the Legacy lost 10-0.

All I know is that they look pretty good on paper. Same with the others.

Guess we'll find out next week.
