From MSHSL website:
Coop: 345 "North Metro Stars"
Brooklyn Center High School
Columbia Heights High School
Fridley High School

Park Center High School (HOST)

Also, it looks like you can add St. Francis/North Branch to the list. They have the job posted on the ISD 15 (St. Francis Public Schools) website:

That is great news, he will be a great addition to that program, and it is good for the girls game that Brian is involved with it again.

Thanks everyone for the congratulations. After more consideration over the past week, I felt it was mutually beneficial to reconsider and subsequently I will not be coaching at Tartan. I wish the program and community the best of luck and look forward to seeing it grow over these next few seasons. I will always be a Tartan Titan - my alma mater - Go Titans!

What happen at Eveleth-Gilbert? Did their coach just get out?

he was always envolved in the MGHCA and a great coach

I could be wrong but I thought the E-G position last year was only on interim basis and had to be posted again this year.

With presumably more to come at some point, how does the number of coaching vacancies after this season compare to prior years? Thanks.

Here's link to last year:
http://www.ushsho.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=25325

I think there were 26 the yesr prior to last based on this post within that linked thread above:

Last year there were 26 coaching changes, it will be interesting to see what this off-season brings.
Here's the link to the thread from last year:

http://www.ushsho.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22907

And some past years info.:

allhoc11 wrote:That makes 4 so far, I know GHS used to put together a list of openings, and it seemed that about 20% of jobs opened each season. It seems like the turnover in girls has been down the last couple years, and up in boys, although I have no concrete data to support. It just seems more stable the past two off-seasons.
Here's the 2009 off-season thread for openings coming into the 2009-10 season:

http://www.ushsho.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=19699

Never really captured anything from the end of filling posiitons in 2007 (headed into 2007-8 thru the above)

And here was the thread with 2004-2007 openings (heading into the 2004-5 through 2007-8 seasons):

http://www.ushsho.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9456

From 2004-2006:

2006 = 32 of 124 jobs opened this year (25.8%)
2005 = 25 of 122 jobs opened this year (20.5%).
2004 = 21 of 122 jobs opened this year (17.2%).

.
.
.

I haven't followed as closely, but the turnover seems to be down. This is good for the game.

Mounds View just announced Aaron Moberg and Christina Hanson as new co-head coaches. Both coached at S. St. Paul for the last five years.

That one was a surprise to me, anyone have any inside info on who/how many applied. That's always the one thing you can never tell, some positions attract a lot of apps, while some others get very few. I'd be curious to see who is applying for these open spots.
