Good luck getting the obstructions out of the way. Let me know how that works out for you.

Minnesotans are doing well statistically at the Select 17 Camp. Malmquist and Wahlin are both in the top four after four games. Bittner is also averaging 1.0 ppg. Dougherty has three points in four games, which is near the top for defensemen. Phelps and Iverson share the lead in points for Team White with four in five games. Lau also has four in five.

Dougherty is on same team as Eagan d-man Nick Wolff, who had 4 points in first three games. Their Royal team finished on top of their pool...they'll play Nanne/Bittner's Red team for the championship tomorrow morning at 8:30. And then the four of them will probably stick around and skate in the following all-star game.

Championship game went to a shoot-out, Red beat Royal 4-3. Unlike last year's U16 camp, looks like the all-star game rosters exclude kids who played in the preceding championship game (which makes sense...really not fair to make head-to-head comparisons/evaluations when a handful of kids are playing their second game of the morning).

So heads up, all you conspiracy theorists...almost a certainty that there are going to be kids picked for the U17 national team who didn't play in the all-star game.

Great showing for many of the Minnesotans. Malmquist, Wahlin, Bittner, Iverson, and Phelps all finished with 1.0 PPG or better. Wolff and Dougherty tied for 2nd in defensive scoring. Great job to these boys and the other Minnesotans!

Dougherty, Wolfe, Bittner, Iverson, Malmquist, Phelps, Poganski and Wahlin make the Hlinka team.
