Not sure it will fit the definition of a slaughter. Do hornets bleed very much?

I like Bemidji - have said it from day 1 of the season - even when Rapids shredded them. But they haven't played anything like Edina this year.....sorry...going to be a long morning for Tharaldson and the boys. Hope Im wrong - it doesn't appear so

2-0 Edina
Passing on that second goal was a dandy

3-0 Edina
Lumberjack D should have played the shot not the pass on that 2 on 1

It took Bemidji 29 years to get back to St. Paul....
From there, it took them about 7 minutes to go to Mariucci....
I kid I kid....lots of game left, but the Hornets look like they aren't taking the 'Jacks lightly....

Looks like a tournament savvy team playing an uptight team.

I don't think so. Bemidji's best chance is that Edina doesn't take the game seriously. That's a possibility, of course, but even so Bemidji is a looong shot. Best of luck to both teams!
I am watching the intros.
Edina looks cocky to me.
Bemidji is going to surprise them out of the gate.
But, it is a 3 Period Game.
Bemidji has to believe they can win.

Are they using some kind of Jedi mind trick by letting Edina score 3 in the first 5 min? I guess Rocky did the same thing in all of his fights...Maybe Edina will get sick of scoring and the Jacks will take off.
Edina is the best team in the tourney. This group has won championships all the way up and will win another this year. It was a great run for Bemidji. Congrats to them for making it here.

Elliott 70 are you going to warm the bus?

3-0 after 1.
Funny thing is, I thought Bemidji goalie made some big saves to keep it only at 3.

Agreed. I thought the same thing. It could've easily been 5-0 after 1. I said before that Bemidji needed to get through the first 5 minutes without giving up a couple goals, and it was 2-0 before the game was even 5 minutes old. Bemidji did look a little better by the end of the period though.

Was the net off or not? They sounded confused on the radio broadcast. The announcer said it was off and didn't know why the goal would count.

The net never moved, the only reason it was not a goal from the start was the ref was out of position and by the time he saw, the goaltender had fished the puck out of the net

Yeah the announcer just corrected and said it was never actually off, just a weird angle when seeing the review.
