Somewhat surprised that Foley and Pugh missed the team, I thought one would have had to be on the team.
Moon was the other one who played a bit last year, but is not on the roster. He is still only a 10th grader so he will have chances to move up.

Which Shoemaker is that?

Is the JV roster anywhere?? And looks like Whopper got his wish with the roster.

Couple thoughts:

Not as impressive as previous Hornet groups. Strong top but may not have reliable fill ins when injuries hit at key times like last year vs. East.

Foley got robbed. I assume Brinkman is parked on JV roster, so certain d men should avoid getting too comfortable.

Moon is a jr. Rarely played last year, but somewhat unusual that Giles would drop him back

More players from last year's JV roster than I can ever remember. Giles won't take heat for not taking the JV players, but he will if they don't make it to state. Last year he took a couple, but they did't play. I suspect he'll go back to the short bench approach he's used before.

Incorrect. No longer on the Bantam roster.

Brinkman was on the Bantam AA bench last game so it will be interesting to see where he ends up playing. If he is healthy he makes the varsity team for sure.

My first post! Unabashed Hornet fan and resident of the Bubble. The Edina team they took looks very young to me. I know they had a great Pee Wee team a few years back, but this team they took doesn't look on paper to be particularly strong - at least with regards to seniors. Will they be able to compete with the Big Boys of the Lake?

That Pee Wee group also included Zuhlsdorf, Wait and Bellows. 3 pretty significant losses.

Dont worry about age or size. these young players are skilled with great hockey IQs.I could mention a number of teams loaded with seniors that dont have a player as good as copeland walker phillps but that wouldnt be nice

In relation to EP, Tonka and Wayzata (I know this is Section 6AA, so bear with me), where do the 4 schools stack up? I would assume Tonka may be flying under the radar even though they won Bantam AA last year... Will Wayzata finally step up and compete with the best? And that 1st line from EP looks tremendous (including D...). Is it possible Edina is the 4th best team in the Lake??

As a freshman at spa mickelson led all 97s in the state in points. best plus minus. team mvp all conference as a forward. Johnson didnt get alot of playing time because they played 4 most of the time. I think he was better than at least 2 of there starting 4. It doesnt matter what we think only what the coach thinks
Whopper...not much production from Whopper Jr. so far this season. Thoughts?

Anyone think Wayzata can upset BSM if they meet in the finals?
