was surprised the margin of victory for Sartell over LF. Definitely thought LF would give them a closer game after taking SCC to overtime recently.

I was going to comment that Sartell may have wrapped up the two seed, but I just looked at the Alexandria schedule and they have games remaining against Fergus Falls, Little Falls, and Sartell. If Alex manages to sweep all three games, they may have a shot at the two seed, though Sartell probably still has the better overall body of work.

Little Falls was missing one of their top forwards because of sickness. Then in the first period of the Sartell game another first line forward got hurt and didn’t return. Even with two of the top forwards out of the line-up they only trailed 2-1 midway through the second. Sartell just had more depth and the Flyers haven’t played very well in Sartell the past couple of trips. On Friday night Little Falls plays Alexandria at home. They will get another top forward back from an injury he suffered in November. Before the injury he had 9 points(5g, 4a) in his first three games. This will make them a solid team come playoff time and a tough team to beat. As of today(1/31)my seeds would be...

Is this section voted on by the coaches or is it QRF ranked? If it is voted on by the coaches, a winning all three may get the Cardinals up to number two. If it is QRF seeded, the math takes in the whole body of work and not what you have done lately, so it would probably be harder for them to get to number two.

Fergus Falls and Little Falls on the road on back to back nights will be a difficult double for the Cardinals. At least they get Sartell in Alexandria.

I believe it is a coaches vote. It will be interesting to see where everyone lands in the end. 1-3 is a lock with Alex and Sartell battling for the 2 seed. 4-6 is interesting. River Lakes has beat Little Falls and Fergus (split) so they have a strong case for the 4, but I would think LF would get the nod.

I almost think LF would have to beat Alex to jump over RL. I would think head to head would be the main determination for that 4 spot otherwise.

It is going to be an interesting last two weeks to the season!

I think it is all going to depend on what happens in the rest of the games here on out. If Little Falls beats Alex, but lets say Alex beats Sartell and lets say Brainerd, would beating a AA school and a higher ranked section team nullify the loss to Little Falls?

I would love to see Alex at the X as well. They have been on a little roll since getting everyone back.

Tonight's game at Brainerd will be a tough one. Doesn't have a bearing on Section standings, but a win by the Cardinals would definitely do a lot for the psyche.
