my comment on that: there has to be a good team in each section... if holy angels left 5AA then there woudl be a crappy team going to state each year.. sections wont be equal, because there are only 10 teams who even have a shot at winning state

That leads me to 1AA, When was the last time a "strong" team came out of that section? I think it just opens things up a little more for some new teams to get in there and show people what they can do.

Don't get me wrong, Century did have a strong team this season... The point is that there some sections who do not produce a "strong" team year after year. Sometimes, however, they can compete....

IMO, Holy Angels should be able to come out of every section next year, as long as they played well. They have the team to do it, that's for sure. Moving sections? Oh, don't get me started on that one..... <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/eyes.gif ALT=":rolleyes"> . I guess just keep them there, because they deserve to be in state more than another team from that section.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... What about Apple Valley, who played AHA incredibly tough... and other teams from the Lake will be growing in talent and numbers, i wouldn't rule them out as "undeserving" quite yet.

aha didnt play well in the first 2 periods... av was alright but i dont see anyone in that section being that good next year

Now, I'm not saying that most of those teams will be bad. Some should have pretty decent clubs. But I just can't see them having enough to overpower AHA's speed and skill. If one of those teams wanted to beat AHA, they'd have to play an "A+" game or have a goaltender that is able to just stand on his head. With that many players returning for AHA, it'll just make their team more dangerous.

That's understandable. Hopefully some goaltenders in 5AA WILL step up next year... As far as the Lake goes, besides Austin Lee and Chris Impagliazo, there was not a whole lot of standout goaltending.

Yeah, I admit it would be nice to see a team knock off AHA. Like I said though, goaltending on their side needs to be great.

I know you guys are all going to have you comments about my post, but with the lake conference losing a lot of players, i think EV will be a pretty good team next year, they have a lot of young talent the only question i think will be at defense.

Corey Denicola, was a junior this year, expect him to be playing a lot better next year.

I wish Corey good luck next year. Our student section went a little over the top with chants to him during the second EV vs. Jefferson game because of the events of the first EV vs. Jefferson game. Good luck to him.
