It was a slow weekend for any meaningful hockey. Moorhead was the only big tourney, and I have not seen a lot of scores posted so here goes.

1. Duluth East – Still #1 no need to change them, yet
2. EP – Probably the deepest all around team
3. Wayzata –
4. Jefferson –
5. Edina – Could you play somebody please????
6. White Bear Lake – On top in District 2
7. Brainerd – Beats the Elks and Centennial, the real deal? Good Goalie!
8. Centennial – Lost to Brainerd? Oh how the mighty have fallen
9. Elk River – Solid team that takes 3rd in Moorhead
10. Andover – Pounds on Blaine and leads district 10
11. Bemidji –takes care of the little teams…. thanks d16 dad for the updates
12. Chaska – still looking for that season changing victory
13. Grand Rapids – 5-2 over Hermantown…..tops up north?
14. Stillwater – Fell apart in Moorhead, lost to Centennial and Elk River
15. Woodbury –
16. St. Cloud – a beating by Blaine / and they are not lighting up the world
17. Rochester North – Leads district 8 (not saying much)
18. Moundsview – victory over Osseo gets them back on the board
19. Osseo – wins a tourney then looses to Moundsview
20. Eagan & Maple Grove – better than the rest, now prove it

Outside looking in:
Blaine – beats St. Cloud looses to Andover
Burnsville – beating the easy teams what can they do against the top teams?
Lakeville South – off the radar
Moorhead – lost to the elks and barley gets by Crookston
Roseau – not a good showing all around in Moorhead
Hermantown – dumps one to Grand Rapids and a big showdown with East this week
Tartan – falling by the wayside

Chuck I like the analysis you apply for the moves the teams take.
Brainerd did well this weekend and it showes.
Is it all from the info posted here? Or are you web searching too?

I go to games, get scores from the forum and I also take a look at district web sites for scores and standings. District 10 is the best site by the way.

tartan beat moundsview handily two times and easily over white bear
just beat grafton 7 -2 , hermantown 7 - 3 , and edina 3 -1 in duluth tourney
well rounded scoring by three lines and strong goaltending rank them in the top ten record for year is 15 - 0 - 1 league , vfw and tourneys

wins over white bear, hermantown and edina put them in the top ten for sure (if not in the top 5).

Your right they did beat MV twice this season but I won't go as far as to handedly. The first one was a 4-3 win and shots where dead even. The second one was a 3-1 win. I've seen them play a few times. They ride that goalie they have big time. Like I said they are a good team and should be ranked. Top 5 I don't think so. [/quote]

Duluth East loses to Green Bay 3 - 2 in 4OT's. Spirit of Duluth Finals, despite outshooting them 47 - 27, the hounds drop their first game since the preseason Centennial gathering.

The Duluth and Grand Rapids Tourney helped create some new wrinkles in the standings this week. I have to say that besides East and EP no teams are consistent enough to keep a solid ranking base. Every week someone is beating someone else, I don’t think it will all shake out till the end of January.

1. Duluth East – A hard pill to swallow at their own tourney but I keep them at 1
2. EP – Tops in District 6
3. Wayzata –
4. Jefferson – Tied EP in League!
5. Andover – Pounds on Centennial and leads district 10
6. Brainerd –
7. Centennial – Lost to Andover? I would drop them but who else deserves to be here??
8. Elk River – Big match up this week with Centennial
9. Tartan – nice couple of wins gets them back on the board
10. White Bear Lake – Dumping two games to Tartan hurts
11. Edina – They finally played, and stunk!
12. Osseo – wins another average tourney
13. Blaine – Takes care of the hornet, and ties East are they on the right track?
14. Grand Rapids – Not a great showing in their own tourney
15. Woodbury –
16. Moundsview – some good victories keeps them here, but did loose to Cottage Grove
17. Rochester North – Is doing enough to stay Ranked, but not move up
18. Chaska – Lost to Apple Valley????
19. Bemidji –Has a bad weekend in Duluth
20. Stillwater – are they on a downward slide? Lost to Moundsview

Outside looking in:
Lakeville South – Doing well in District 8
Hermantown – a sub par weekend in Duluth keeps them off the board
Maple Grove – ho hum
Eagan - lost to West St. Paul....your kidding right
St. Cloud – Centennial lights them up, that tight game with Edina means even less

Its Ryan Wolter. This team doesn't have any real big stand outs besides him but they seem to play hard and are motivated. They do have a really good first line. Still alot of season left we'll see if they can keep it up.
