Thats exactly the game i was thinking of. The fans, the band, the rivalry... awesome... and then overtime to top it off.

I think everyone forgot about The Juice, Oscar Johnson. With its warm atmosphere and spacious stands and locker rooms, how could you not mention O.J.

yea that night when i think it was Greg Sutherland got the game winning goal that place went Ape PLEASE BAN ME nuts even the fans were pissed because the Virginia fans were sitting in the Hibbing Student Section and during the whole game you could hear chants telling the V/MIB people to get out of there section when they couldnt because the place was so packed.

Cloquet is pretty sweet.... Moorhead has tons of fans..... excel is pretty sick to but you gotta make it there.... greenway....TRF is a nice rink but they need to fill it during games........You gotta love the old rinks all the history...Even though it might not be the best ice or have nice board....Centenial is pretty cool becaue everyone has to get packed into that little place... pretty loud....

Right you are Kamakaze, the Memorial was going nuts that night... it reminded me of the section championship a few years back in Rapids when Lundquist scored the game winner with about 7 seconds left.

thats the only game that occurs at the memorial building between hibbing and a rival that sells out i mean the game vs Rapids at the memorial last year was very low in attendance should be packed when hibbing plays Virginia this year.

Definately the Roseau Memorial!!, you wont find a better atmosphere to play in...always a good croud, the Roseau pep-band, with larry pladson doing a great job everytime! the broten brothers and busty erickson, earl anderson, and many more pro's skated in the same rink, so much history and pride in there, its an awesome rink to play in

Section finals Cloquet vs East at the Decc

Are you serious, the DECC isnt a nice rink! its average for high school and terrible for college. i would have to say that Aldrich is a great rink when its sold out. warroads rink (i think its the gardens) is sweet. huge locker rooms and seats all around.

I personally like the old rinks with tradition over the newer modern arenas. I didnt care for skating in warrods, gardens, or TRF's little ralph.

Could that be because you got beat at both places. And on national TV at the Gardens too? I say national cuz we had friends in both Arizona and Hawaii call us about the game.

Coldest rink- Ames arena in Lakeville
Great atmosphere- BIG-more so in the early 90's. Especially when Jefferson was on there roll.
Nicest rink- Xcel and TRF (mini Ralph)

My Fav rinks would have to be:
The Hippodrome (Eveleth-so much history...)
Braemar (Edina)
The IRA Civic Center (GR)
Roseau Memorial
Bronco Arena (I-Falls)

The DECC is horrible. Ingelstead in Grand Forks is great.

Amen to that comment, at the last game Edina had at Braemar against Rosemount whose a good team (Edina won 10-3, yeah double digits) not only was all 47,425 from Edina in attendence but 4 kids got kicked out and 1 can't go back to games anymore. Now thats an atmosphere, even as an opponent you have to appriciate a loud and energetic rink with flavorful fans.
Range rinks

I guess I'm old fashioned, because I love the rinks we have up here on Da Range. Except Virginia (I dunno, just never really liked it). I went to a game in EGF once, I thought the stairs from the locker leading to the benches was pretty cool.
Rangehockey, that last second goal between Hibbing and Virginia/MIB in Rapids in 2004 was the semi finals.
