No doubt hallock is a tough place to play, but if Pr can't handle hallock in hallock...then they arent a top 3 team in this section

People not giving ND teams credit for not playing a tough schedule, like GFRR, Fargo S. looks to me like PR has the easiest schedule in the state of MN. 25-0 big deal, get trumped in sections

Wow... well people have a quote about "friendly MN". Apparently has not rubbed off on AC in ND. Sorry you arent getting credit, play a few tough teams from, get a few kids to D1 scholarships and get on the ND page...
Back to 8A talk....

I'll give credit to red river and central but other than that most of nd hockey is flat out bad... Fargo south
p.s. why should they get credit on a section 8a hockey post

I remember when they had Olsonawski back in 95-96 and were a pretty tough team to contend with..I agree PR should beat KC, that doesn't mean it'll be easy. I remember outshootin' them like 50-10 one game and we won 3-2 in the last minute. Things like this happen up there...

Didn't dare to go to Saturday, eh Shant?
That Mariucci conference game = EGF at Roseau is just too easy to pick.
Do you think that Christensen can keep it out of running time?

Doesn't have to be for me anymore there shanty, they have beat us twice this year. As for PR and Pequot, that will be interesting... Not saying Pequot will win, but I believe that it could be a 1 or 2 goal game with how physical Pequot will come out. Just hope PR is prepared for a physical, rough and tough type game because if they are not, they may be upset...

Thursday:
Bemidji @ Crox
Bemidji by atleast 2...
Kittson @ Wahpeton
Kittson by 2 or 3. Wahpeton will play physical and usually a "no holds barred" in their own barn.
Northern Lakes @ PR
I am going with an upset. NL wins it by playing physical and taking Lehrke's time and space. NL is also coming off a great home tournament where they played very very good hockey.
Friday:
RLF @ Bagley
Bagley has to win sometime and 3 wins against the same team in 1 year is very difficult.
SCC @ LOW
SCC in running time.

Enough with the yapping about the also-rans....Warroad plays a very good SCC team Saturday at The Gardens. After a night of facing hack and chop hockey and a running time win in LOW; the Crusaders come to the big ice and play a very good Warroad club. This ones too close to call but...if Cobb gets the start and plays with the passion he's shown in his other couple starts this could be a W for the B & G (Black & Gold). I wonder if George Blanda is driving north for the match-ups if he is...at least give us a fair and balanced report.

I actually enjoyed playing up there. Once you get your toes thawed out from the bus ride by the second period or so its not so bad.

Shwag, way, way better than the Peanut Gallery does...everything is seen through Black & Orange glasses for you fellas. I'm curious you fellas make your reservations after last nights big win.

I haven't heard much yapping after that one...you fellas finally seeing the big picture?
PR and Northern Lakes

Last nights game was a great game to watch, Northern Lakes is a lot better than most of you think. They played hard and were well coached. Their goalie stood on his head(Smith for PR had some great saves too). The PR defense let up some breaks that they shouldn't have, leaving Smith to make the great saves. Northern Lakes knew their only chance was to concentrate on stopping Lehrke. The bottom line is we got the W and you still have to beat us!

RLF-4
BFCG-0
Bagley showed up with 7 guys and a goalie (one that had totalled his vehicle by rolling it 4 days earlier) and stayed with RLF for hte majority of the game. BFCG goalie made 52 saves on 56 shots despite being beat up from the accident.
Side note:
Officials, please start looking for some butt-end of the sticks. RLF hit a BFCG player with one and he went down. The coach went over to check on him as he didnt get up and there was an outline of the stick on his belly/side. You could see it clear as day from the stands as it was a nice big red bloddy rectangular outline and was not hard to notice.

It's a busy Saturday today, in fact we'd have perfect attendance but the Prowlers decided to skip class today.
My three games of interest today
1. Can East Side show that there is depth in MN HS hockey
2. Warroad vs. SCC
3. Can Park stay perfect @ Hallock?
Sat Jan 5
Red Lake Falls (#137) @ Wahpeton-Breckenridge (N.D.)
Detroit Lakes (#106) @ Crookston (#114), They need win #2 here because hell is coming to dinner all week
East Grand Forks (#56) @ Roseau (#6), it would be good for MN HS hockey if this is a competitive game
St. Cloud Cathedral (#49) @ Warroad (#15), I can here the drums from here, W-A-R... so on and so forth.
Park Rapids (#80) @ Kittson Central (#110), lucky number #13 goes up today
River Lakes (#139) @ Bemidji (#76), running time for the Jacks
Silver Bay (#148) @ Lake of the Woods (#121), Bears prevail at home
Ely (#131) @ Bagley-Fosston (#152), ice would be a little mushy today if they were still playing outside
Walker-Hackensack-Akeley (#145) @ Prairie Centre (#126)
