26 pitches, 20 minutes, 6 batters, 4 sharply hit balls, 2 runs, some bad baserunning, a Manny appearance, and a Partidge in a Pear tree.
YES: the bird is down and Nathan is 12x12.

Never a doubt.
Good to win a series vs Red Sox, no matter how its done.
Its great that they are in first place but they still look very much like a .500 ball club unless things change.
Good to see Lamb and Monroe contribute.
Any offense they get out of the midle infielders will be gravy.
Young needs to get going and so does Cuddyer.
The starting pitching has been pretty good but not good enough if they dont score some runs as was shown Sat. night.
So Delmon, Michael lets go.
Lamb and Monroe, keep it up, need that to be consistent.
Joe, Justin, keep doin what your doin.
Cargorii, keep it up but lets cut down on getting yourself out by swinging at bad pitches.
Jason Kubel............. ah, never mind.
And hey everybody remember HIT THE BOOFIN BALL

Not to be "ants at a picnic" but they haven't won the series with the Red Sox just yet, game four of the series is tonight at 6.

You are right ZG. A rare Monday series finale.
Well, lets get em 3 out of 4. Only one way to do it and I think you all know what that is.

I think the next 3 series will go a long way toward answering that question... Toronto, Colorado, and Texas. These are all series that should be won, but coming off of the 3 of 4 from Boston, will they let up?
It'll be a good week for a character check.

Great series by the Twins. A lot of the "ifs" are performing to their potential. Now if we could just get PB's favorite player, Jason "boofin" Kubel going...

Frank Thomas is an upgrade?! You're still selling that?

As I said earlier... Craig Monroe is now proving us both wrong, and I couldn't be more thrilled about it. Keep it going.

Boofin Kubel is batting .222 with 3 walks and 24 strikeouts. While I agree Frank isn't the answer, he matches Kubels slugging percentage and has a 150 point lead in OBP. Boofin Kubel has got to get going or just go.

Frank's .120 points better in OBP, but his fat ass has scored a total of 3 more runs than Kubel, so the OBP isn't really making that much of an impact. You can get on base all you want, but if you're not driving in runs or scoring them, what's the difference?
And again, neither is stacking up to Monroe at the moment, so I'll be more than happy to conceed to that. Defintely not Thomas.

The point is that Govs and Gardy and apparently the Twins management thought that Kubel would be just fine.
Jason Kubel.
The guy is a stiff. Give it up and move on.
If Thomas would not have worked out , fine but to say that we should not take a chance on Thomas for 300K because we have Jason Kubel is ridiculously off the mark.
Jason Boofin Kubel.

And you thought Thomas would be fine... Meanwhile, if he were here, he'd be taking the ABs Monroe is getting now.
Thank god you aren't in the front office either. Of course, you're never wrong.

I hope Nicky Punto's hammy is better, we're going to need him.

What I thought was that they should take a shot at a Hall Of Fame hitter for 300K instead of hoping some never was and never will be would miraculously transform.
If I was in the front office , Thomas would have been a Twin in "06.
