Is an OT win considered a win (2 points) in district play, or is it a tie (1 point)?
Might be a dumb question to some, but I honestly don't know.
I've seen a TON of D6 and D8 games this year - the EAST region will be stacked with great teams....Lakeville South, Apple Valley, Eagan, etc...

I think the way it works is that the winner gets 2 pts (+ HEP if they earned it) and the loser gets 1 pt (+ HEP if earned). Basically they each get one for the tie and the OT winner gets 1 extra. Not positive but I'm pretty sure that is what they do.

I dont think D6 uses the NHL point format for a point in a overtime loss. Regardless of OT or not, win 2 points, tie 1 points.

From D6 rules:
16.3 Teams that are tied at the end of regulation time each receive one point. If a sudden death overtime period is played, the team scoring first will receive one additional point.

Mpls/Park-3
North Metro-2
Great game 0-0 after 2 NM scored 2 at beginning of third to take 2-0 lead. Mpls scored with 2:36 remaining to cut it to 1 then pulled the goalie and tied it with 46 sec remaining. 10 seconds later they got the winning goal. Very exiting game NM has a very strong team could pull of an upset come playoffs.

Sniper87 : you seem to have a good grasp on D6 Bantam A. How do you see the district playoffs finishing out? My computer has AV and Edina moving onto the Regions.

Edina, AV, EP as 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.
Edina does not need to worry about HEP in the playoffs. While shorthanded could hurt, they did win allot of games despite spending time in the box. I got Edina number 1

Apple Valley 5

Valley did not bring there best effort but found a way to win.

First things first, Edina has to get through the the WC round.
I dont see Edina, AV and EP finishing in that order especailly with all three of the teams playing out of the same half of the bracket, if Edina even eventually moves on. Besides, finishing 3rd in a district playoff in which only two teams are sent to regionals does nothing for a hockey squad.
I think any team could win this district, which ever teams get the best goaltending will be moving into regionals.

Edina 3, Burnsville 2
Burnsville had 2-0 lead in the third, but gave up two goals in one shift and then a dramatic shortie with about 3 mins left.
