Hearing from people at the game. DE played a good game and carried most of the play but couldn’t solve their goalie. She played lights out and flake scored on 2 2 on 1s and a mad scramble in front on DEs net.

Forest Lake has a wonderful girls program. Elite girls program.

Is Grand Rapids a lock for the 2 seed even if they lose to CEC the last game of the year. It seems the majority think only 3-5 seeds are in question.

I would say its very close to a lock even if they lose since they already beat CEC and then tie breaker goes to head to head then to winning %

But if Rapids loses to CEC the last game of the season then the head to head would be a draw. Winning % would probably favor Rapids in the end. Either way Cloquet and East are looking at Andover in the semi. Rapids and Forest Lake in the 3 vs. 4.

Yea if Rapids loses to cec then theyd be 1-1 against each other thus bringing them to winning %. Which I think rapids will win, CEC last 6 games are gonna be tough. They have Flake, Hermantown, Holy Fam, DE, White Bear, Rapids. If they lose to flake they have no chance at 3 but if they win then they could still get 3. They have to win almost all 6 of those games to have a chance I think.

I think it’s going to end up like this
1. Andover
lock
2. Forest lake.
schedule not as tough as 3-5
3. Grand Rapids.
could get the two if Rapids wins 5 or 6 more games to keep pace with the tie breaker with forest lake
4. Cloquet.
could get the 3 if Rapids starts losing and GR does have a tough tough end of the year. A loss to Grand Rapids or Forest Lake ends the hope of a top 3
5. Duluth East
East has to win and win now for hopes of a 4 seed a top 3 is all but doomed With the lose to Grand Rapids and forest lake
6. Elk river
7. Private School
8. Tornadoes

Is it possible CEC gets the 2 seed if they beat Rapids and Forest Lake in Cloquet in the final week of the season. In your opinion.

Flake can’t be a head of rapids unless they win out and get far enough ahead of them. GR beat flake, so if they are in tie breaker at the end. GR will be 2 and I think they have 2 all but locked up unless they tank

The reason I see forest lake getting the two is because I foresee a lot of loses coming for Rapids only two should win games in the final 10 games. Yes cloquet can get the two but they basically can’t lose more then 2 games tops and cloquet’s schedule is tough to end the year like Grand Rapids.

Never mind I read the tie breaker margin wrong Grand Rapids should be in good shape, I thought it said 3 but it sounds like it’s 6.5. so cloquet Is in great shape for the 3 assuming they beat forest lake and forest lake loses a game or two.

Yes CEC has to beat flake but also could see them
Losing all of their last 5 games. With Hermantown, DE, HF,WBL and GR.

Yes the section is very down this year with exception of the huskies. With that said Grand Rapids sitting At 10-5-1 has a chance to prove them selfs to the state that they could be a top 10 team if they can rattle off 5 or 6 wins out of 9, arguably one of the toughest Remaining schedules in the state. If GR does that and that’s a big If, the Andover cake walk to state got a little interesting assuming both make it to the final and Andover has showed it’s beatable the last few weeks. Just think wouldn’t it be a juicy semi final 1 Andover vs 5 Duluth East , history has proven never Count Out Duluth East in the playoffs no matter how bad they are like 2015! They Made it all the way to the state championship game I never thought that team would make it out of the section semifinals. Obviously they had young talent in 15 but still don’t Count Out the coach .

My purple currently 5 seed. Played Superior tonight and Hermantown next week, which are 2 games that don’t move the QRF meter.
