why is Forest Lake still in your section? Last time I checked they are still 2 1/2 hours away from you, and about twenty minutes from the Centennial/Blaine section.

Since when does the MSHSL make sense as far as section alignment.Hansonbrother wrote:why is Forest Lake still in your section? Last time I checked they are still 2 1/2 hours away from you, and about twenty minutes from the Centennial/Blaine section.

I believe it's just a numbers thing. There aren't enough AA programs in Northern Minnesota to support two sections, so both 7AA and 8AA have to dip into the Northern Suburbs in order to approximate the same number of teams as other sections have. Right now it's Elk River for 8AA and Forest Lake, Chisago Lakes, and Cambridge/Isanti, for 7AA. Maybe someday Duluth will field another AA team and they could at least move Forest Lake to one of the metro-based sections.Hansonbrother wrote:why is Forest Lake still in your section? I didn't hear much except Horgen, Erickson (2), and Gallop were the goal scorers. I believe I heard that all three players on that new "top line" had three points. It would be nice to get Molly Arola back soon...Great win. Sounds like Havel was solid.hockrun wrote:GRG come out with the win tonight @ Breck, 4-3. Havel played outstanding, but she was one of the few. Lightning got out-skated, out-shot, and out-played. Shots were about 35-20 in this penalty- filled game. The Lightning played without Arola again. The lines were Erickson-Gallop-Hoeft, Illikainen-DeGrio-Guyer, Almquist-Dekich-Stumo. Lets hope they play better tomorrow and get the win against Hopkins.
Talked to a couple people at the game, including the goal scorer and no one mentioned anything questionable. It could have been, but I didn't hear that. Why was it?Oilers08 wrote:Hopkins 2 OT

GRG ties it up with a questionable goal with 1.2 seconds left in the game.
I have a lot of faith (as do all Lightning fans I think) that Molly will make the right decisions. She will come back when she is 95-100% and not any earlier. I think Hibbing will be the game she comes back and the lines can get clicking heading into the semis.JohnG wrote:I hear Arola should be back for the Hibbing game next week. Hopefully she's 100% by playoff time.
She was struck with some sickness shy of mono. It appears that she is fine right now, but she is still gaining back strength. Sounds like she should be ready to go by Friday.SportsMa wrote:What is the matter with Molly Arola? Whatever it is, I hope she is doing better soon!!!

Of course I am wrong. Chisago answers right back. Peterson with the goal. The 4th GRG goal was Molly I from Arola and Clafton.boblee wrote:Looks like the route may be on.
