I really don't care who wins this game on Thursday. I just wanted to make a couple points after reading several posts on this sections forum.

1. whether you like it or not this is indeed a sections and any team that goes has earned the right to play at the state tourney by being the best in there section, period. You don't have to point out that they are going to be "beat up" there in every other thread. It's still an honor for them and you should give them the respect that every kid who plays the game deserves. The section might not be to your likings but its giving these programs a chance to gain attention in their communities and develop into better programs to further the growth of hockey in Mn. That should be something everyone is in favor of in this state.

2. These teams need to stop trash talking each other. It just makes you look bad. I hope it is not players on here doing the talking because there is no need for it. New Ulm and Litch, your focus should be on what you need to do to win, not running down the other teams players. If your the best show on Friday, not through some anonymous message. Talk is cheap and it is time to quit. Just let your skates and stick do the talking for you and you should do fine.

Good luck to both teams lets keep the game clean as well as what is said on here.

i would have to agree that it is a huge deal for these communities. I remember in 96 Litch made it and what an impact it had the Youth teams saw a lot of growth and the pride was unbelievable.

does anyone know whos LDC's best player?

I just hope the game isn't decided by the Referee's and penalites.. Both teams need to "play hockey"!!! and stay out of the box.... So we can see who is really the best team!

I don't think there are very many players from New Ulm on this... I'm not anyway. I'd just like to say that this forum wouldn't be nearly as fun, if there wasn't any arguing over which team is going to win, which team is better, and why. For instance, I firmly believe New Ulm is going to beat Litchfield with a 3 to 4 goal deficit.

The only "trash talk" I've seen was from Marshall.
And isn't that partially why this board exists?

I don't think so. If I was a player/fan from New Ulm the only thing I would say on this board is "7 to 3" Obviously you need more satisfaction than you got from the outcome of the game.

Actually, I was just defending a player on our team and stating that there was an obvious cheap hit on him. I mean, someone on this forum even claimed our head coach was gay?! I'm going to retaliate to that, because it's just pure ignorance.

New Prague lost. Litch and New Ulm didn't lose in the playoffs yet... therefore, Litch or NU go to state. New Prague doesn't.

Well of course New Ulm sucks, that's why they're in the section final.

Even if we are considered trash talkers, we ultimately have the right to be, considering we're in the Section Championship game and this is the Section 3A thread. So far, I've seen Marshall fans/players say that we suck, our players are "pussies", "sex blow up toys", and my personal favorite, "gay." Maybe it was some Willmar fans too and some other teams in there, but seriously, I have kept my posts focused on hockey. If New Ulm loses, I'll probably have some excuses, but I won't resort to what a lot of people do.
