Delmon Young has been disappointment of the year.

Some of the young pitchers get it, Boof and Slowey don't.

Jesse Crain is terrible.
kubel also made one of the stupidest plays of the year by running through the stop sign at 3rd today. possibly costing us the game

No one seems to remember Morneau doing something very similar last year, or the two base running blunders Cuddy made last year. Anyways, score more than two runs and you win. Bottom line. You can't really fault a player for being aggressive.

Ya, keep blaming small ball. Batting around .300, averaging around 6 runs a game. Terrible stats because they don't hit very many bombs.
GR, Who or which team are you referring to?
Obviously the Twins. Check the stats.
Obviously not the Twins.

In 19 of their 40 games they have scored 3 runs or less. They aren't even close to 6 runs a game and they only have 2 guys hitting .300, one of whom hasnt hit one single HR.

Which is why they are 20-20 and will end up close to 81-81.

Would 81-81 be a disappointment for this year's cast of characters? I certainly don't think so.

I think the next 3 series will go a long way toward answering that question... Toronto, Colorado, and Texas. These are all series that should be won, but coming off of the 3 of 4 from Boston, will they let up?
Am I the only one who saw this coming?

Jason Kubel running through a stop sign. #-o #-o

atleast throw a shoulder! If you are going to be that fat and slow, atleast plow the guy over. He missed the plate completely with his girly one handed slide. Fat Matt Lecroy could have done that.

I told my brother after the Boston series that the Twins HAD TO win the next two series, but that they'd probably lose them both because that's what the Twins do. Well, one bad series away...

Now Tolbert looks like he's heading for the DL with an injured thumb... gee, wouldn't have anything to do with that HEAD FIRST SLIDE INTO 1ST BASE, would it?!?!

Are these guys ever going to learn? Cuddyer goes on the DL with a dislocated finger, Gomez gets hit in the coconut and misses a couple of games, and now Tolbert. It's time for Gardy to outlaw the head first slide. You're less apt to get hurt, you're more aggressive feet first, and you really don't lose any speed going into the base. Ridiculous. The only player who ever did it correctly is Pete Rose, and he's not on this team... not even close.

I think its just out of respect for the game that anybody throws Morneau a strike.

If I was managing the other team I would order my pitchers never to throw him a strike. I dont care if the bases are loaded with nobody out. If he walks they will only get 1 anyways.

He is the one and only Twins hitter that demands any respect. If he walks, what's gonna happen? Oh, yah, Cuddyer is up next.

Nice job, Boof. You're the man.       Apparently he didn't get enough run support. Granted, he only gave up 4, but he once again put them in a tough position. Get rid of the guy before it's too late.
