3-5 expected up here in Cloquet. The bus is scheduled to leave Cloquet at 2:15. This light snow shouldn't be a problem. Thank goodness it isn't freezing rain.....
Had some sleet first thing this morning then light snow... We can still see some grass popping thru... Didn't get much (hopefully holds off)

From CRW....
"It's people like you that keep going back to it like its some ace in the hole to jab at us"
I am not the one that brought it up.
I believe it was a StMA guy.

I know it wasn't you... It was curtiscuve that brought it up again... New material needed... After tonight either you will or we will, depending on outcome of game
And Tiger33 that brought out the missing players (don't know who that is or where from). If it is a STMA person (and I don't know) then stop with the missing players theory... We still shouldn't have lost that game..

Please remind me when I brought it up other than on page 12 (or close to it) on this thread? And that was in a synopsis of how the section will play out.

Bemidji missed 4 guys 2 first line forwards against Hermantown and EGF second game. Its a team game and a year long schedule.
True, but didn't Randolph last year use injured players as an excuse for losing to Elk River early in the year? Can't have it both ways, if they get to use that excuse than so does STMA. I also doubt STMA has a legit shot at 3, but if they were to beat CEC 7-0 or a similar score, then I think they should get consideration. Everyone talks about East's tough schedule, but where is the quality win? Hopkins? The tie vs Andover?
Randolph explaining a loss to Elk River by stating a fact that top players were injured and STMA bobo's trying to use the same logic to explain a loss to Monticello is comparing apples to oranges. First off, East and ER is a section game that weighed heavy on seedings. Second, if you want to be taken seriously, don't try to make excuses for losing to Monticello. Hell, if I were a STMA bobo, I would simply ignore anyone who brings up that game and hope it never comes up again. Just be happy that you have a shot at hosting a quarter-final match-up and quit worrying about what others think of your squad. Your seed should not have any effect on your performance in the play-offs. Last year you damn near pulled an upset and you are good enough to make a run in the play-offs this year. That is unless the team has the same focus as some of theses posters and get all worked up if they don't get seeded above East (a team that beat them).
Believe here where you say don't make excuses for losing to Monticello. Like I've said we haven't made them... We lost.
Looks like page 24, BAM!!!

So because I was responding to Tigers33 Rant about the box scores of the Monticello games, I brought it up. O.K. Read though my posts. I am trying to stop the preposterous talk of comparing Bemidji to STMA, but I did not bring up the Monticello loss.

What's going on here? I thought this thread was for GR and East pounding on each other.

Actually It's for the quiet, keeping their head in the game, Elk River fans. Hopefully all this banter is a waste of breath. Elk River should be headed for the X.

The internet must be down in ER because I have never known the ER fans to be quiet or modest. I must say it has been a pleasant last few weeks! IMO it's ER's section to lose but with that goes the pressure to perform. Best of luck to all the teams over the next few weeks.

Seeds should be set.
1. ER
2. GR
3. DE
4. STMA
5. CEC
Some people will argue for STMA being third, but anyone who knows how these meetings work know that won't happen. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Randolph pulled something to drop in front of GR.
STMA handled cloquet, and they should not be concerned about playing them again.

Hard to think Randolph would pull that given he was quoted as saying GR is the 2 seed last week. 5-1 win over East, and East has no wins the quality of beating Moorhead and Wayzata (both on the road btw). East will have their hands full next week with Andover or Cloquet.

This has to be a very satisfying win for STMA and their fans. Even with the weak SoS, it sounds like they were prepared for the task tonight, so now we start learning just how good they are.

While I certainly don't think East deserves the 2-seed, beating Lakeville South on the road tonight is definitely on the level of beating Moorhead. They're pretty much identical in most rankings.

Not much to banter about from ER, they need to focus on getting the job done. It has been a long ten years without the prize. They will be favored but not by much after watching East/ER game.

Maybe the other coaches take advantage of the situation and stick it to East giving them the #4 seed. Hounds vs Jacks next week would be fun!
