I'd say throw Delano and Orono into 3A. That would help. A litte out od whack, but no worse when they had Hermantown in with the St Cloud schools (I know Htown is in 7A now).
We don't need those two teams whining after Luverne beats them too. Then you'll want someone else in that section the next year. Why don't those two just go out and win their section if they are so good. I'm curious to know why you selected these two, do you have ties to them?
Actually, none at all. I was thinking of teams in far western suburbs, as they already play in a conference with Hutch and LDC. I think they use to be in it a few years ago...spreading wealth to give the mighty Red some competition in that section. And before you blow a nut about your section, something needs to be done about 5A as well. And Luverne wouldn't beat Delano, I can tell you that.
Maybe luverne wouldn't beat delano this year, I don't know. Maybe if they make it to state and luverne makes it we'll find out. The only comparison I can make is the BK scores. Delano beat them 3-2 and luverne lost 3-2. BK had a 10 min. advantage in penalties in that game. No idea about the delano vs. BK game. Maybe it was similar. How good will delano be next year? I know they have a ton of seniors, but don't know to what extent they have contributed? I would say luverne will be better next year if smedsrud stays.

I think they reload quite well every year. Their best player is a sophomore, and their A Bantam team is pretty good every year. Who knows though, just would be nice to spread the wealth in a few sections.

Not a good time for hutch to start playing bad... Heard Luverne got the win 4-2 over St Peter, definitely closer than I thought it'd be.

Has Hutch had some injuries? They are very up and down, but it seems that all the teams in 3A have been. Is it just that they are hs kids? I don't get it.

I don't believe hutch has had any injuries, or any other team at the top of 3A, otherwise I'm sure we would have heard about it.

Only if it was Luverne... We seem to know every time somebody from that squad has a hang nail.

Maybe that why they only beat STPLSHML 4-2.

Section 3A Team injuries or players missing games report:
Fairmont not sure of.
Hutch has had several injuries this season.
Luverne has had injuries and players miss games for various reasons
LCD Not sure of.
Marshall has had players miss for various reasons
Morris Benson has had players miss games
New Ulm has had injuries
Redwood Valley has had Injuries
Willmar Not sure of
Windom not sure of
Worthington not sure of
The top 6 teams are all capable of winning the Section this year. They all have their strengths and weakness. It will come down to which of these six teams play their best hockey the next two weeks.
This should be an exciting two weeks for all Section 3A teams. Let the Coaches coach and the Players play and may the best team become the Section 3A Champion.

Check:

One two buckle my shoe, three four shut the door, five six pick up sticks, seven eight lay them straight, nine ten big fat hen, uhh what time is it?

I agree with this. The Marshall injury report was also very helpful.

someone find the last post that Herb wasn't whining about something
Any players outside luverne have aspirations of going places?
Cody Kohn of NU has been successful on a very good, ranked, UW-River Falls team. A few other players have been successful as well in various places.

Yeah that was a dig at trout not at a player.
It certainly wasn't whining because a player has aspirations to go somewhere.

It's been awhile since there's been a whopper upset in Section play. I'm picking LDC over Luverne for section title.

So you mean two upsets, LDC over Luverne, then win in the finals as well.

I think Windom can give Redwood a run for their money tonight. One thing I can assure you of, Glass banging will not be allowed and their will be enforcement of this policy. Also, if you notice Redwood with too many men on the ice do not, i say again, DO NOT alert the officials to it. If you do however, prepare to meet glass banging enforcer guy....

Any truth that Redwood's leading scorer will be missing the game tomorrow night? Looks like he got an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty according to the box score on the hub. OUCH
