Have any of my friends of 1A, noticed my predictions lately. Whatever I predict, the direct opposite happens. I jinxed Albert Lea. Sweet.
I believe section 1A is now wide open. I can not wait to watch Albert Lea play. I am curious to see how a team with so much talent, can go a stray.
My current team evaluations:( in order of current seed)
Austin: May be a sleeper, but I don't think they can continue at this pace. A great player, complimented with a few good players, and a good coach. I still don't think they can last.
Albert Lea: Easily the most talent. Two great players with a a lot of good players. Stong goal tending. Coaching ? I know nothing about. Can not find any stats, so they are hard to evaluate. I still believe they are the team to beat.
Northfield: 2-3 good to great players. Solid goalie. Decent coaching. Playing very good hockey right now. They are a better team now, than they were their first 2 games. They may be the true sleeper.
Fairbault: A lot of good players. We lost our great player to the thoroubreds. Great coaching. Will continue to get better as the season continues. Goaltending will continue to improve. Could be a spoiler.
Redwing: Not sure about. 1 great player, surrounded by young decent players. Will know more about, when they play Northfield.
Waseca: Having fun playing the game. I hope someone spanks New Ulm 17-0 in the first 2 periods.
Faribault the greatest community in Minnesota.

Definitely Albert Lea. I do not look forward to going there. The band is usually there, and they do draw a lot of support from the community. The benefit in playing there, is it develops mental toughness in your team. The kids learn to play in that environment.
Haven't heard much about the upcoming game Tuesday?
Faribault and Albert Lea are still playing, right?

You sure have a lot of banjo music playing in your head, you might want to seek some professional help for that
I have been assured that the team playing Faribo tonight will be the same team that played Mayo and not the team that played Owatonna and Austin last week. Not to mention the team wants to make falcons89 eat crow

, and when I say "team" I mean me
AL 6
Faribo 1
Austin 8
JM 1
DC 6
RW 1
STP 3
Waseca 2
NFLD 6
PL 2

Only if I can find my passport.
I will be easy to spot. I will not be related to anyone from AL.

I think that the Austin JM game will be closer than that. JM looked really good against West, and their goalie is really strong.

JM's starting goalie was not in nets. I heard she had Mono.

A win is a win - I guess.
-The effort is not always there.
-The chemistry is not there. Those line combinations leave a lot to be desired.

I just don't understand why they (coaches) won't take advantage of the familiarity and "chemistry" by keeping the same forward lines as they had last season. IMO, it would allow them the luxury of skating 3 forward units more regularily.
-The passing game is almost non-existent, they seem to sit back watching and waiting for #5 to score all their goals and then KH to save everything

First off, before I get into the meat of this. Congrats to AL's All-time, All-state, All- star team. You were the best team last night in your HOUSE with your REFS. State goes through AL. #5 and KH are the greatest. I guess we know they(AL), are a 2 woman show. I was happy that we were not that far a way from beating AL. We can close the gap. The rest of AL, should keep a steady supply of vitamins on hand for #5 and KH, so they can stay healthy. I would hate to see what would happen to this team, if they were not there, to CARRY them.
RSI, I see you and the coaching staff have a disagreement. I think they are doing a fabulous job.

Here is a quote from the AL coaching staff:
“We have switched around the lines this week and they looked pretty good tonight. Overall, regardless of the points, all the lines were strong ... and everyone played a fantastic game.” From the AL tribune.....A.K.A. phonics for hillbillies.
RSI you must of watched a different game.
Great team play.........oh yea, nice unassisted hatrick #5.

Rats, you beat me to it...You're right, one of us must have watched a different Faribo/AL game that ended 5-2 last night.

Must have been me! Not that AL's second unit got destroyed (-2) by whoever it was that Faribo threw out there.
I would, however, like to reconsider my lack of effort comment. For the most part, I think they displayed decent effort last night.

Was there anyone on the ice as fast as AL's #21 last night?
WOW, imagine that, Faribo fans complaining about the officials. I'm shocked!

Your coach came unglued a couple times, he should really try some decaf.

I don't know what all the fuss was about, it was bad both ways.

From the Post Bulletin:
"Goalies -- Austin, Audrey DeVries (14 shots, 13 saves). JM, Ann McNaughton (42 shots, 34 saves)."
The normal starting goalie for JM, not the one listed above, is listed in the MSHSL stats as taking 150 shots in 4 games and giving up 3 goals. Just an observation. Not too bad...

Faribault isn't surprising to me.
I thought AL/Winona wouldn't have been so close but Winona's goalie had a good night.
What went wrong in Austin? I was expecting a loss but not a 4-5 goal game. Twinn do you have an injury report? Jet how did you see it?
