Quit nitpicking and stay on topic, would ya? Sheesh... I hate when people stray off topic.
Back to Vick...

Speaking of Irony it seems odd that the NAACP is crying for (Society) to lighten up on this, this organization is all about the advancement

Vick had a 130 million $ contract I'd say he really doesn't need any help with advancement.... what he needs is Pop's Sandford "How'd ya like me ta slap you upside yo head"
I don't know much about his past or youth but I think this was one of these rags to riches fairy tales, maybe it's true you just can't get away from your upbringing and are destined to repeat it...what a waste.

Agree.
I think it shows that we are in pretty good shape if all the NAACP has to do these days is protect Michael Vick.
The race card is played too much these days and almost always under the wrong circumstances. Not good for anybody.

As if it isn't bad enough for this poor guy, now he's being sued for
"$63,000,000,000 billion" for trying to obtain missles from Iran.
Personally, I think the guy going after him has a real shot of winning. I mean honestly.... to have Michael Vick subject you to microwave testing is just plain rude.

Uh-Oh, Mikey V's boys just rolled over on him and left him with very little options. I guess we are going to find out if Mike is the Top Dog in all this. I wonder if they will make his prison uniform number 7 for him....I agree with the thought that you just can't change where some people come from. I mean, look at his brother, it seemed it was only a matter of time.

Vick owns the property, finances the entire operation, and his "partners" plea bargain against him.
With friends like that, you don't need enemies.
I haven't seen anyone whiz away so much money since Mike Tyson.

Yeah, it doesn't seem he'll get away scotch free and it just baffles me how you can kill two people with no punishment but then when you kill dogs you have to go to jail.

Umm.... he gets a trial??? Just like OJ !!! so who knows what will happen??
His lawyers and money will determine the outcome.
HSW I thought you were the person who said innocent until proven guilty..or wait, was it?.......ah never mind that was Bonds that needs to prove he's innocent of something he's not charged with.
BTW
I've been Scotch free for a long time...however a good Crown Royal on ice is nice.

CNT, if you have been living in a box and not turned on a TV or picked up a paper, then I will inform you that just about everywhere has said that instead of going to trial he is likely to take a plea, which would include some jail time.
He may get off with nothing, but probably not. Just going from what I've seen/read.
Not going to change the thread, but what world are you living where they are not looking to charge Bonds with anything? Yes, maybe not charged at the moment, but they are looking to charge him with perjury and some other stuff.
Yes, I'm aware OJ lost in civil court, but that's not anything to a guy with the money.

No I've been on Minnhock day and night.
The media is so reliable...BTW "who is evertwhere"? also Knowlzee's box was full so I'm on the waiting list.
And again Bonds has not been charged...If's, and's, & maybe don't count, so he doesn't have to prove anything until such time.
And...
OJ he won the case that mattered to him...and money made all the difference.
He has not paid a dime of the civil suit from what I understand so all in all he won that too!
Thanks for the info..not that it's at all informative

Looks like he's going to go ahead and take a
plea deal
If you trust
John Clayton (and I don't... at all), if Vick ever gets back into the NFL, one of the first teams to give him a look might be the Vikes. I don't know how he gets away with writing this crap. If he's ever allowed back (yeah right), and if Jackson doesn't work out, and if Childress is still here, and despite the fact he can't run a west coast offense, sure... put him purple. WHAT...

That would go against the Childress system of having "character" people 1st, and good players second. He would have a tough time selling that one to anyone. IMHO

It is all over for Vick.. He has (or had) everything but he wanted to get involved with dog fighting. The worst waste is wasted talent!

Anyone know anything about the judge? It sounds like it's all up in the air right now.
One thing that I don't agree with that I saw on ESPN today is that if he were to get a suspension from the NFL they would have him serve it after he gets out of jail. Not that I support him or what he did, that doesn't seem right. If the NFL wants to suspend him, then suspend him. Don't wait until he's out of jail, that's punishing him twice.

I disagree.... the NFL is trying to clean up its "Boyz will be Boyz" image and as a business they have the right to do whatever they want to promote a fast, exciting, rough and tough sport but with a somewhat "cleaner cut" image. The new "America's Pastime". I think people are tired of the Vick, Phillips, Carruth, Ricky Williams, Moss, Pacman, Ray Lewis, LT (in his crack days) and the Vikes Love Boat garbage that pops to the top of the headlines. Sad to say......do you see a pattern here
