And Brown has matured over the years and really isn;t all that chippy anymore he has very few penalties this year. And Rosemount has 2 very solid lines that can keep up with the Blaze. Brown Porter and Percy should all be watched for in the D-1 colleges they have played together since Porter joined the team, the chemistry is there.
Agreed. Hey sniper, you can't say Rosemount only has one line. Maybe if there was a question about generating most of the offense, yes its their first line, but the 2nd (has been scoring) and 3rd (also had been scoring) lines have been holding their own quite nicely the whole year. 2 and 3 really haven't been scored on much, which is an okay thing as long as they do their job.

The forward lines and goaltending are fine. But defensive on this team has struggled ranking them 4th in the lake behind Kennedy,LVS,and Chaska, for shots against. If this team can find a way to reduce turn overs and better control thier own zone they will be unbeatable.

i'd have to agree with koho goaltending will win and right now burnsville has the most consistant goalie, for rosemount mike morgan has his games where he can't make a save. and ep is just two lines with an average goalie and offense won't win all the games that are left.

I dont think there D are at fault here but more there forwards and how alot of them play in the D zone. Now Im not sayings right or wrong but Rosemount always seems to have someone floating or flying the zone early on all there lines (not just JT, hes just the best at it). Thats why they give up alot of shots.

I have noticed that the two times I haven seen them play also, I dont know if it was just those games or what, but I do agree when JT is staying high he is the best at it.

That's the way he scores most of his goals many other players in the State of Minnesota play suck hole at times too. Say all you want about JT, and how he scores his goals, but come saturday he will be best at both ways of hockey, both defense, and offense.

Neither STEV nor I said that we disagreed with the way JT plays or scores goals. Theres nothing wrong with how he does it because they are 18-5 and he is the best player on HIS team. I wouldn't say he will be the best player in the game on Saturday though.
I would like to point out though that from Nov. 24 to Dec. 22nd (threw the first time they played LN) JT had 19 goals in a span of less than a month. That is damn impressive! But from Dec. 23 to today (Feb. 11) he has scored 11 goals in a span of about a month and a half. Im not saying hes playing worse or different but teams have done a better job of not letting him slip behind them. So for Burnsville to win its not just ALL about stopping JT anymore because other teams have done that, yet Rosemount still sits 18-5.

Might I add that the last time Burnsville and Rosemount played, JT was held scoreless. Other players on this Rosemount team are able to step up when needed. Same goes for Burnsville, when Barnes and Hendo are contained.

I never said that he would be the best player on the ice, I said that he would be at his best on saturday night all the Rosemount Players know what they have to do and this is their chance as Seniors after that it will be a while till we see that good of a group kids playing for rosemount in the Lake Confrence title game. Not saying that the Blaze seniors don't know what they have to do but Rosemount is very underrated not many people out of the Metro will be wanting the Irish to win cause they have not heard of them tell now. As for Burnsville they always have a solid group of returning Juniors as Varsity players next year. But sorry Eagle and Stev I thought you were critcizing the style of JT's play.. My bad.

Its fine no problem
Your right about Burnsville too and how they always bring back talent. If you go to this Rosemount/Burnsville game you will obviously have to get there early but if you get a chance, check out Burnsville's JV team. I bet they could compete with some of the lower level varsity teams in this conference. They are big and fast and I have seen them do nothing but dominate.

I said a month or so ago that EP would win the title. And I still may be right, but wow what a finish. Burnsville controls, EP needs a little help from Rosemount, and Rosemount needs a little help from Jefferson. If it comes down to a tie do they share the title or is there a tie breaker? Should be a great Thursday and Saturday in the Lake.

tie breaker is head to head

I thought that they always just named co-champs? But if anyone can confirm this that would be good.

In the Lake Conference, they would be co-champions - there are no tie breakers

Edge to Burnsville

I can't imagine that after a loss to EP, Rosemount will loose this game against Burnsville. They will shorten their bench and do whatever it takes. Morgan needs to step up and Rosemount needs scoring from their second line. Both teams have excellent 1st lines and their 1st line power play lines are very good. Straight up, they are equal with first lines Burnsville plays a solid game, Rosemount has cleaned thier game up. This should be a very good game. Special teams will probably dictate with winner in this match up. EP has to defeat Jefferson at home, which is a tough task and play on the road against Lakeville. Eastview is outside, looking in. If EP wins out, they will win the title, if Rosemount wins. If they split, its probably Burnsville.

they lost 1 of 2 last year going into sections, and the 1 was a 6-1 spanking from burnsville, lol. I think they will have their act together come saturday. Looks like the team played well against EP, but the goaltending wasn't in the same game they were. I am hoping they come together to stop Burnsville Sat.

I would probably call it cold ya. An inconsistent streak for sure. 5 goals in each of the last 5 games. I did call it though. Every team that has beaten Rosemount had to score 5 goals (exception to EP's win of 4-2 at Rosemount the first meeting).
