The last post is the updated version. If I make any more changes I will do it with a new post. Don't bother cross-checking. It's not like this is for big bucks or anthing. I'll go with whatever you have.
No problem. The scores that I have down match those in your last post above.

Been gone!

2A -New Prague 8, Mankato West 1
8A - Roseau 3, Warroad 2
7AA - Grand Rapids/Greenway 4, Duluth Area 1

Congrats to the girls on these teams and Eagan in 3AA for making it to the State Tournament!

Here is the scoring summary for our little contest here. With 23 people entering the fray, and since it's still early, I'll only highlight the early leaders and how they got there at this juncture:

1. DmanDad1980 at 8 points. Has picked the right teams in all four section finals so far, and got the correct scores in both the 8A and 7AA games!

2. GOCARDS1 and hockeyrube7 are tied at 6 points. Both have also picked all four winners correctly, and each got the 8A score correct.

Five people are tied for 4th with 4 points each:

4. gopher25 (correct score in 8A)
4. hockrun (all correct winners)
4. OntheEdge (correct score in 7AA; HOWEVER, has still not posted picks for several upcoming games!)
4. pacman (correct score in 7AA)
4. MNHockeyFan (correct score in 7AA)

Great start for DmanDad1980, GOCARDS1 and hockeyrube7 - good luck to everyone else (including me!) who's trying to catch up!
By my count i also have 6 points.

Let me know if you believe this to be incorrect!

We now have 15 contestants who are now all in.

I may be in but I'm getting destroyed :( . Got to love playoff hockey!
So much for LPH, QRF and all the other BS. It comes down to who wants it the most. Or for some teams whose horses came to race.

All you need is to get lucky and pick a few scores and you will be right back in it.

I agree that this time of the year, when everything's on the line, you can throw the rankings right out the window.

Recap of Saturday night's section final scores:

1A Austin 7, Faribault 1
4A South St. Paul 7, Totino Grace 2
5A Breck 2, Blake 0
4AA Cretin-Derham Hall 2, Stillwater 1
6AA Benilde-St. Margaret's 4, Hopkins 0

Drum roll, please.......

With a spectacular finish, hockeyrube7 takes home the mythical "Minnesota Girls High School Hockey Champion Prognosticator" trophy, literally trouncing the field on the final day. On the strength of a marvelous CDH upset pick over Stillwater, including forecasting the 2-1 score, hockeyrube7 finishes with 16 points. But what really won the day for hockeyrube7 was great consistency, having gotten 14 out of the 16 final games correct - pretty amazing considering the number of upsets we saw in the section finals this year. CONGRATS to hockeyrube7 - awesome job!

DmanDad1980 and GOCARDS1 each picked up another point tonight to finish with 10 points each, and share the Runnerup Trophy. Maybe next year!

Thanks to everyone who participated. And for all teams who made State, have fun and play your best in St. Paul!

Final point standings:

1. hockeyrube7: 16 (14 of 16, two correct scores)
2. GOCARDS1: 10 (12 out of 16, one correct score)

I'd like to thank my mother and father. I'd also like to thank my agent. I'd also like to thanks......

All jokes aside, these threads have been the most fun threads on this forum! And exactly what this forum should be about. Thanks all! And are we doing a first round challange for state?
