Lots of people like to blame losses on a bad game, but that's just an excuse. Did you ever stop to think that maybe the team that won had a really good game and the loser who supposedly had a "bad game" just couldn't keep up? Whoever wins this game will win this game by playing well, not because their opponent is playing poorly.
Actually that happens a lot. NHL, college, and high school. Look at Holy Cross and the Gophers a couple years ago for one example.
What happens a lot?
One team taking a night off, and the other team having the game of its life.

Doubtful that they can do that against Woodbury and win.

Woodbury by a goal.
To be honest Rosemount does take some dumb penalties every once in a while..but the thing is they gave up zero power play goals in the Cretin game..Woodbury gave up 1 i believe to eastview

They both have great special teams and talented players..I believe Rose has more SKILLED players who do majority of the scoring (which is a lot)but Woodbury does have balanced scoring with Eddy leading the way.

I think Woodbury will win by a score of 5-2. Woodbury has won their last 8 and that is HUGE momentum. I don't see Rosemount being able to stop Eddy and I think that Woodbury has a solid enough D and goalie to shut down Rosemounts gunners.

This should be a great game hopefully it lives up to hype though. I can't wait to go watch this one.

Woodbury- 3
Rosemount- 3

Then it's either teams game in OT. I'll say whoever the team that was down 3-2 and tied it at 3's scores the OT winner.

Woodbury had their back-up goalie in for over half the game last time around. He ended up 2-4 on the season. Wigen ended 19-2 (W -L).

why did they start their back-up goalie?

They didn't start the back up last time around. Wigen got pulled after giving up 3 goals in the 1st.

See I think of that as one team having the game or its life and the other team looking like they're taking a night off because their opponent is playing so well

Lets see, they didn't stop Eddy, he got 3 goals. Wigen got pulled in the first after a having a shakey start, and the back up played like he has every other time the coach has given him a chance, very mediocore. Wigen has been much better than the first period of that game and he'll show that to all of you Rosemount fans once he shuts you guys down come Thursday.

Dont necessarily need to stop eddy. . just outscore him. Which rosemount is more than capable of. I dont recommend woodbury tryin to turn this into a high scoring affair, cuz thats rosemounts game and they will beat ya at it everytime.

It changed the momentum in the game no question. The Royals finally stepped it up and began clearing the front of the net. That first period was dominated by Rosemount who had a 5-3 PP that they scored on. Obviously not Wigen's best performance but in the end it doesn't matter too much. I don't think he's worried about the game about Rosemount any more. At least I would hope not.

You also have to remember that Morgan played pretty poorly that game to. Both of these goaltenders have come a long way since then. It could be a high scoring game but I don't think it will be as high as the first time these two played which was obviously 6-5.

I just think you have to drop a little bit of what happened earlier. Both teams know their strengths and weaknesses by now and that is why this game is going to be much different than the first.

The score probably won't be 5-2 like I said, but I hope it is. Realistically it'll most likey be a 1 or 2, with an ENG, goal game. This will be one of the best section finals of the year and I hope it's as good as last years game versus Cretin which was very entertaining.

I'm going with Rosemount in this one. Woodbury is on a roll but watching both teams Saturday night I think Rosemount is the better team. Rosemount seems to have their defense and goaltending playing well again and when they give up less than 4 goals they don't lose.

could that have anything to do with "lake c." bias?

im feeling another high scoring game. last time rosemount was up by a few and woodbury got a flukey goal from the sideboards to tie it up. than by some higher power nate percy gets a hell of a shot off to win it with 13 secs left. i'll say 5-4 rosemount. nail-biter til the end just like last time. should be one hell of a game

Rosemount on top

Agree that having watched both teams Saturday night Rosemount comes out on top.

Rosemount has a very effective PP with Brown at the point. If woodbury wants to win they need to stay out of the box.

I can't wait for the game...pretty nervous though. Hopefully Woodbury wins and I'll be pounding beers with komada and wbmd after the game
