If that were the case, then why didn't they protect Hemmingway? If you look at their protected list the goalies they protected were Lee, Terrazzano and Campbell. Also, they could have picked him up again in the draft but didn't. Also, it looks like no one else drafted him either.

i have a thought. how about stop passing judgement onto others. everyones situation is diffrent and opinions very but to judge others on choices such as this is wrong. most of us have no idea what choice we would make given all the sercomstances that mike and his family are faced with. roseau has chased good players right out of town and than cry when one leaves on his own free will. roseau has survived in the past and will continue to do so with the players that are here to play. we as a community should support mike and his family on the choice they felt was the right one for him. everything is such a catch 22 were all proud of our hockey and community yet we frown on the success it bears???? so i say thanks to mike for his part in keeping the tradition of winning strong in town and good luck in the future for success.

Well said Watchdog, I agree with your point but this is a forum like it or not people will b and Moan about anything good or bad. just have to live with it. Good Luck Mike as well....

HOF, You starting a rumor about Landman leaving isn't going to talk him into it. I doubt that Buffalo would win the section if all of Roseau and Moorhead's Seniors left.

If he doesn't I will never post again, you should just quit posting but I'll settle for if your great source turns up to be full of it. I would really like you to name your source.

I would like to know who your source is? Why don't you quit whining about credibility when your credibility is more than suspect. I would think a kid and a family would weigh their options before making any decisions...I am just glad Landman is getting recognized after living in Ness's shadow so long....I understand there are other kids that are talented in Roseau but none of them resided on the JV last season....The Bantams better have been good...My source is my source...why would I tell you who they were? Bottom line is I have friends in hockey who are not convinced Landman will stay in Roseau and no one including you will know forsure until the puck is dropped next season.

I don't know if he is staying or going but if I were a betting man I would bet he stays.

landman would leave if the perfect oppertunity came along. i think if the team that drafted him offerd a full time spot he would go but i cant see that happening since hes only showing up for one day of their camp.

Or, maybe he's already a superstar and he and the team feel that all he needs is one day of camp

If Tyler feels he has an oppurtunity to get to the next level and it means leaving Roseau a year early I wish him the best. Now if he leaves Is that going to hurt??? Probably but this group of soon to be seniors won't back down they will work that much harder to be at the big show in the cities come March. This group of soon to be seniors did not have Ness or Landman or Ben Nelson they were a group of kids with no commitments to any were and they were on a B team one year and the A team the next year. What is really neat is they made it to state as Pewee's and bantams and some of them were on last years team that went unbeaten in the regular season and made it to the big show in the cities. These kids maybe don't have the finesse of the super stars but they bleed Green and white. They will battle to the end and return to the cities in March

Umm, HOF, AFP's source is likely Tyler himself. Not that you would know because you've probably never been there before, but Roseau isn't exactly big. Everyone knows everyone.

From what i hear i wouldn;t exclude them to early.. Rumor has it ryan weston is suppose to have a huge season and easily fill in the boots of last years star player Aaron Ness!

I realize this is from a long time ago, but Hemingway is a 91 born. That means he was placed on the affiliate roster and his rights kept by Fargo without having to release him or take up a spot on the active roster. This allowed them to make extra draft picks and such.

Could someone explain to me why Ness isn't taking the heat that Lee has taken, don't come with he did it the right way. bottom line is he still had a year of eligability left. He left early also, just playing in a different leauge.
Now as far as I am conserned age limits are set for a reason, I believe the body development of these idividauls that leave early are in jeapordy when playing against kids that are 22 years of age. Heck take a look one day at a 22 year old and an 18 year old. Even a year can be a huge difference on kids at this stage of their lives.
This is what I mean about kids leaving early, injury risk are much higher. Now you might argue that the Canadians always do it with some sucsess, but look at there high school leauges, don't here much about them do we. I guess I am getting of track here, I dont' understand, the difference in the two I see it as the same.
But in the end I wish them both good luck in their futures and I hope everyone else does to. It is their decisions and I guess we have to live with it whether or not we agree.

Do you do any research before you post? Ness has been a year behind his age group since kindergarden. Care to guess how old he was when he graduated high school? That's right... he was 18!! If he had not "left early", he would have been 19 when he graduated.

That being said, I'm not from Roseau and I'm a college fan before I'm a high school fan, so I have no problem with Lee leaving to improve his game either.
