1. Wayzata - Won the Tommy Williams tourney. but did not play great in pool play.
2. East - Blanked #1 2-0, then laid an egg vs Tonka, and got revenge on Centennial
3. Edina - Beat up on Chaska
4. Rochester - Beat OMG 4-2
5. Minnetonka- Lost to Centennial, but beat east
6. Maple Grove/ Osseo - Dropped a hard one to Rochester, and Shattuck
7. Lakeville South -
8. Centennial - Won their pool, but got beat up good on sunday, maybe the lack of size made them tired.
9. Apple Valley - Taking care of business the teams they should beat
10. WBL - Had some great periods up north but could not but it all together
11. Chaska - lost to Edina 5-2
12. Woodbury - couple of ties this weekend, good team speed, no finishers
13. Roseau -
14. Eagan -
15. EP - Lost to Cloquet??? ISH POO (what team will show, no one knows)
16. Roseville - playing well, welcome to the top 20
17. Minneapolis Park -
18. Grand Rapids - falling off the board fast, not playing as well as we thought
19. East Grand - has anyone heard from them yet
20. Stillwater - dropping game to Tartin...ick

Teams on the outside looking in this week (in no particular order)
Rogers, Rosemount, Moorhead, Burnsville

Note: some teams are going to loose kids to HS when and if that happens it may help clear up some of this mess.
...also, WBL lost to Woodbury and showed their typical poor sportsmanship in that game when one of their players jumped off the bench and started punching a Woodbury kid. Then, when it was determined they'd be playing EP in the toilet bowl, went home and didn't tell anyone.

EP shouldn't even be ranked. They will not be good this year. Woodbury lost by one to 'Tonka in OT and 1 in a SO to Centennial. Those were the first 2 games this group had played together. I suspect they'll be coming on stronger as the season progresses. Centennial.....not too good but always comes on strong. Wayzata was not too impressive this weekend in the Tommy Williams. Never really controlled any of the games they played. I'd say they and EP are ranked only because of previous reputation and not necessarily skill this year.

Your comments on Wayzata are curious. During pool play they did struggle going 2-1 and could have easily lost more. However 8-0 against Centennial and 6-2 against Minnetonka in the semis and finals seems like they controlled at least two games. It appears it will be a year of constant change as no one is clearly dominate yet.

Unfortunately I will have to disagree with you. EP should be ranked, they have been one of the few teams to beat Wayzata, and have played some really good games against top competition.... too bad they have mixed them in with some really bad games. As far as their previous reputation playing into it. It is more like the fact that they play hard teams day in and day out, sorry but i give no credit to teams who post scores beating the crap out of little sisters of the poor, or west Bum F Egypt. Tonka beat woodbury in regulation not Overtime, and being ranked #12 is no slight to their skills. Centennial is not as powerful as they have been in the past, yet they have been playing with the big boys all year, and with two of their returning guys injured. (not sure if or when they are coming back). I suspect as always they will be at their best when it counts...the end of the year. Agreed that Wayzata did not play great in pool play (see above) however they crapped all over Centennial, and the championship game with tonka was a no contest, so not sure how they did not control either of those games... (did you even see the games?).

note to all: don't mind a little criticism of my rankings ... i mean that is what this site is for and they are just opinions... but lets make sure we keep the facts straight before we go making wild accusations.

I did see the games and, in my opinion, winning and controlling tha game are two separate items. Clearly, Wayzata is a good team and they did win but the game was never completely in their control. At any juncture, the tide could have turned. I'm merely stating that the reputation, in my opinion, didn't live up to the reality.

I agree that Centennial ALWAYS comes on strong at the end of the year so we're in agreement here.

As to the EP/WBL deal, those of us at Heritage heard early on that WBL had bailed and the EP folks were upset. I stand corrected.

slapstkhound, should not post about games on hear say, need to get your fact's straight on WBL sportsmanship, Woodbury kid takes cheap shot, then punches a WBL kid in the face , nobody came off the bench, Woodbury kid hit the wrong kid and got what was coming to him. :

North St. Paul is ranked in LPH???????? Anyone have any info on them? Is it just me or is the Blaine Thanksgiving tourney weak this year?

NSP was ranked in LPH. Not any more after 5 kids depart for 2 HS programs.

NSP beat WBL 4-2 earlier this year with those 5 players in the line-up.

WBL 6-0 over NSP with their "new" line-up.

Hopefully it wasnt one of their top D-men. They have arguably the top two D in D2.

In all honesty I wasn't sure of what either team would bring to the mix. We have not heard any scores from either team, and I was not posting on what moorhead did at the Centennial Preview. I think Roseau is going to be at EP so we will get a better look at them there.
