Cloquet has two seniors battling for the starting job... Jordon Thompson and Jeff Dunaisky.
Both Thompson and Dunaisky played well over the weekend...

Yeah Webb was cut. I guess Ankeny will get the nod
I like Ankeny, not a bad thing for Edina.

The BSM website shows Robert Ankeny on the roster (No. 1):

Edina must have a different Ankeny?

They are brothers. John Ankeny is a Junior and the starting goalie for Edina Varsity. His older brother Robby is a senior at Benilde and on the Varsity there. Both goalies. Should be interesting when the two teams play one another!

Very interesting. Reminds me of last year when Ryan Wolter(white bear) played his older brother Danny(mounds view).

Logan Marks- Moorhead: Was the starter for a very young Moorhead team last year and should have a pretty solid Junior year coming up. Expect him to have an impressive year.

They lost 3-1 and 4-0. Some of the closest games they have had in a long time.

i honestly do not know how kurt altrichter will handle this season...he had a great season last year and its gonna be hard to follow it up...any thoughts?

also

will this be owen collettes (spell check) 2nd year after his hip surgery? cause last season there was a lot of hype about him but i dont think he produced...any thoughts about him?

my favorite for 7a has gotta be willie paul, as for 5a i gotta go with matt messina, now that he's no longer splitting time with the aforementioned paul, look for him to have a good year, even tho his stats may not reflect it because the hunters lost a few decent players

I heard Moberg got cut last week after talking with Waterloo about possibly playing there this year. Coach didn't like it and he was gone just like that. Really a bummer for a quality contributor to a quality forest lake squad.

Anybody know if this is true?

Although Hastings is not the best team, I think they have the best goalie in the SEC. Jon Glienser

He didn't exactly meet the hype last season, but played very well down the stretch, including the Hill game. He looks more confident this year, and should be one of the better goalies in the state.

Owen Collette is the best goaltender in the state hands down. Since he recovered from hip surgery a year and 1/2 ago he is more agile, confident, and i wont be suprised if he carries his team to state this year.

The Observer wrote:What about Blake? What are they going to do about a goaltender this year after Peter Johnson graduated?
Johnson wasn't very good, decent at best. The only thing he had going for him was his size. Plus he had a talented team ahead of him.

Blake goalies?
Edina - Webb and a bunch of offense
Burke will do well @ AHA
Orono- well no question the weak link for a talented team
Blake - Best they can do is a Sophmore from the above mentioned program with less firepower to help out
2A: Top 3
Breck- Russell
Delano- Dzurik
Providence- Taffe

2A: Question Marks/weakness'
Orono- Definately the weakness, we'll have to see how Gabos does
STMA- Turnquist
Mound- Lost Nelson
Blake- Watched their goalie this weekend, Dont know what to think...

He's the next Alex Kangas.
Or maybe the next Al Stalock...considering the relation and all.
Definately Stalock, unless you were talking about sives

I stopped by a Mustang practice a little while back and I have to say Russel is a solid goaltender, and their backup wasn't bad either! Breck will be set with goaltenders for a couple years.

I agree with you. Hart had a good first season last year and gained a lot of experience, he will do well this year!
