Dmom why do you have andover so high? Explain this.

Andover is big, can play physical and was already passing well four weeks ago. Last time I checked they hadn't played anyone tough, but were still beating up on the teams they were playing. They are bigger than Elk River and deeper than Coon Rapids. All second years, except for two, one thing I don't know is if they lost anyone to high school.

What fun would it be to only pick the sure things? They are my dark horse this year. They'll see some better competition between now and Christmas, time will tell.

Yes, I've seen it, and in fact I find scores there all the time. Interesting math concept, although I'd like to see a more "weighted" score, based more heavily on recent play than averaging the entire year.

I'd put Duluth East and Woodbury ahead of everyone else - but that's just me.

I agree....losing those three players to HS has GOT to have a negative affect. I know Edina is pretty deep, but still......

DE hasn't played Superior yet they have them down for an 8-1 win over the Spartans...Actually, Superior doesn't even have a bantam a team!

They do not play anyone. Andover's biggest and only test of the season came against Hopkins, which they lost. Lowest strenght of schedule index of the 26 teams listed.

All the "bandwagon" jumpers, give it until Christmas, or until Andover starts playing some top end teams. Come Christmas time this team will struggle to break top twenty.

Right now it isn't too hard to be in the top 20, quite a few don't have a winning record. If they are a leader in D10 they deserve to be there, if they get rocked in league play...they'll drop like a rock.

This should change a lot. After the loss of players on Edina, they will be down.

Not to blow my own horn, but that is why you should look at my rankings and not some computer generated ones.

All things are considered, who they played, how they played them, were there injuries? or was it early in the season? What have they done lately? Did they loose kids to HS? I have seen most of these teams already this year and well the computer hasn't.

Give it time there is always shake up in December as teams get into league play.

There will be 5 teams in District 10 that will be vying for the 1st place position which are all undefeated as we speak Andover 4-0, Coon Rapids 3-0, Blaine 3-0-1, Centennial 3-0, St. Cloud 1-0-1. The next 7 days Andover will be tested Thursday they play Elk River, Friday vs. Coon Rapids and next Tuesday they face Blaine. Blaine is young , but has talent should be a physical game. Coon Rapids are mainly 2nd year players with skill and talent, but has just come off a disappointing weekend tournament in BV. Talk around the rink they played well against Hermantown, but got into some coaching issues in the next couple of games. Coaches were not happy with the players play and stopped coaching them. Supposedly they were given the silent treatment and was a free for all play for the kids (?????). Coaches stayed on the bench between 2nd and 3rd period resurfacing of the ice and the players went to the locker room (??). Seems pretty early in the season to have disruption on a team already, but hopefully they can put it behind them. Andover is well coached the team is physical and moves the puck well. If, opponents pressure there defense enough the opportunities will be knocking at the door. They have not been really tested yet with the exception of a loss to Hopkins 1-0. Have only allowed 9 goals in 7 games

They do not play anyone. Andover's biggest and only test of the season came against Hopkins, which they lost. Lowest strenght of schedule index of the 26 teams listed.

All the "bandwagon" jumpers, give it until Christmas, or until Andover starts playing some top end teams. Come Christmas time this team will struggle to break top twenty.

Hey- Andover dominated Hopkins. Outshot them 40-10. Hopkins didnt get a shot in the third period. They dominated them plus hopkins has one of the best tenders in the state. Andover will get their chance to get respect this weekend and then at the roseau tourny.

HEY-Who won and who lost? Too bad the shot totals do not determine the outcome of the game. A loss is a loss, regardless of the shot totals.
