Rapids and Cloquet both are Class A size but opt up. I don't see either of them dropping down in the immediate future. Too much pride in both towns.

Of course, I said that about Hibbing too, so....

well Hibbing just isn't as good as they used to be. I heard Rapids Bantam As are one the best teams ever so they probably won't move down, but Cloquet, they seem to be having a hard time with AA as of late.... who knows but i see both schools moving down sometime.
Well now i'm getting really confused, because just a few days ago you were saying how good hibbing was and that the reason other teams don't like them is because they make the finals every year, and thats also why the refs are against them also. nows its well Hibbing just isn't as good as they used to be. ??? So what is it? their good because they always make finals, but yet their not as good as they used to be. thats sure a mouthful and an oxymoron. Its always a good laugh to see how things change day to day with your postings. I'm always up for a good laugh.

TOO MUCH PRIDE...Cloquet and Rapids both will be AA for a long time, they both have good classes coming up in the youth ranks. I see both teams contending for top 4 seeds next year, some young studs are coming up for both. They won't be section favorites or anything but they will be solid. In two years Rapids and Cloquet will be at the level of Duluth East. Yes Cloquet has been brutal the last two years but come on, what kind of 8 seed brings the 1 seed to double overtime in AA with barely any senior production? Most of Cloquets best players were underclassmen. Not to mention both teams starting goalies will be returning. I think the real question should be, which 7A team will be the first to move up to AA? I think Virginia personally...

As far as competition goes, I'm not sure how long Virginia will have a great hockey team. I know the next few years, especially next year they should be really good. But its not something that you can just switch every year. It's every couple years and once your in that class your locked in and cant change until that time is up. There really isn't any teams that are big enough in section 7A that could move up to double A. Out of the whole section Hibbing/Chisholm is the largest school and they went down. On a different note, for section 5A, I think Hermantown would have a good chance at competing at a AA level.

it would be nice to see the one class with 7AA having 8 teams that could compete for state each year

the teams in section 7a right now i dont think will ever move up. what teams have in section 7a beaten decent AA teams? yes hibbing beat rapids and rapids had some nice wins this year but lost in the quarters. i mean why move up to if your gonna be playing single a teams. theres really no point

yeah i dont think it will happen im just saying that it would be pretty cool to watch playoff hockey with the quarterfinal games being as intense as 7A semi finals

Hibbing is good and you will see that Saturday. When I say they aren't as good as they used to be. You should agree with me, that is the reason they aren't AA anymore

Just because Virginia is good now doesnt mean they will be as good a few years down the road. Ifalls, Virginia, and Hibbing are all decent teams and I believe all 3 have a chance at making it to state, but none of them are good enough to compete with many of the AA teams out there. Things should just stay the way they are. If it aint broke, dont fix it.

You just don't beat a team 22-0. I can't wait to see you loose in the finals.

JV played half the second and the whole third... Hendrickson had one shift in the 2nd and third and only had one goal...
