Anyone else find it funny when the Minnetonka students chanted "daddy's money"?

The words "easily" and "repeat" should never be used in the same sentence.

Definitely...I turned to my friend and said 'pot, meet kettle.'
I liked the "your ship's sinking" chant from Edina during the Tonka timeout.

Where is Mr. Chirp Blueblood? Big Tonka talker not talking?
What did I tell you my friend? Best to keep a low profile and let the players do the talking on the ice.
Guys like you just help put a bigger target on your team's back in a one and done environment. Edina loves you!
Congrats to the Hornets on winning state. Congrats to Curt Giles, who can finally get the monkey off his back.
Funny, two years ago Edina hockey experts were trying to run Giles out of town. The torches were lit and they were pounding on his door. Giles deserves a lot of credit for sticking around and putting together a very good coaching staff.

And before Eden Prairie won it all last season, the cries for Lee Smith's removal were deafening. Funny how winning it all changes things.

Sorry Teak. Not to take anything away from Edina but they were not the best team in the state. The best team lost. Edina should send thank you cards to HM...

I just think who ever has the best soph. and juniors wins this thing year out. That is before girlfiends, drinking and all that highschool stuff,,Why did not edina win the the last two years and minn not win this year. Edian prarie got the same dose this year as thier players were one year older. The fact is our highschool players will never match up to the AAA programs of mi and Il

Hill threw everything they had against Minnetonka and couldn't win. They did the same to Blaine. Edina beat both teams twice. Edina beat them previously without any help from Hill Murray. Hill proved that it was a great team, but to have the balls to say that they, and not Edina or anyone else were the best team? Yeah right. Winners win. Losers say they were the best when they lose. Have the class that I saw from all the Hill Murray fans sitting around me and toast the victors. They earned it.

I meant, I first heard it in '82. Which makes me a little bit older than you.

The money-related chants that follow Edina/Minnetonka have been around for a while. Back in my day (the days before electricity) we used to put a sign up on the concession stand when Edina rolled into town that said "No Cake". Good times.

I picked Tonka to go all the way, but after Friday's four overtime marathon I knew they would not have too much gas in the tank. A friend asked me yesterday afternoon who I thought would win and I said Edina for this same exact reason. Not making excuses for them - if they had played better against HM and got it done in regulation they would have given themselves a much better chance on Saturday. Overall, my impression of this team even when I saw them earlier in the season is that their emotional drive never quite matched their physical talent. You didn't really see them go all-out until their backs were against the wall. It worked against HM but they dug themselves too deep a hole against Edina and by then the tank was near empty and it was too late.

I'm right here brake out boy.
Not sure what your chirping about though. I never talked smack against the cake in regions or state tourney play. Yes, I did review my posts back through jan 23. I never said tonka was going to steam roll through state on any posts in past few weeks. Here's a sampling:
on 3-5: rated cake #2 for AA tourney
on 2-28: predicted cake over the jags
on 2-14: ranked cake #1 for 2AA
I did throw it back it Mr. "EP" Fred Flintstone when he said he had state tickets for sale before the section final game.
So, what else you got? Edina won Tonka lost. Case closed. Go enjoy the win and eat your cake. See u next season....

It's funny how when Breck beats Hermantown, "the best team lost", and "they only won on a garbage goal"
But when Edina beats Tonka, "the score determines the best team" and "winners win, losers lose"
