There is an error on their site, Superior beat Phoenix. Superior played St. Michael/Albertville in the 2nd game and lost in a shootout. I told you guys they would at least give them a game!

Interesting to see how the districts have fared in Fargo.
District 2
Disaster for sure for D2, D2 has become a 1 association show from Bantams to Squirts and their top association is maybe high average. From Bantams on down Stillwater won basically every level during the regular season, and in the big tourneys they have been OK but not great. Fargo is no different. WBL is the only team to win their first game, Stillwater had a very dissapointing entry into the losers bracket on day 1, Highland and FLake lose first 2, WBL does what they always do win against a lesser team and can't beat the good ones. Not a good showing to say the least.
District 3
Top 3 teams come through with Orono, OMG and Wayzata making it. Mound won their first game as well. Very good start. Orono had a big win vs Farmington.
District 5
Nice showing all things considered. D5 standout STMA makes it throught the first 2 (eeks out win in Game 2 vs. tough Superior group) and MAML wins their first game vs. D2 top team Stillwater. Not bad all things considered
District 6
Edina, EP and Tonka move on. Shakopee loses first and PL wins first but loses too a solid Eastview team wth good goaltending. At this point, I woudl say as expected. Could be a D6 showing in the Championship with heavy favorite Edina likely to be there and Tonka looks as good as any in the other side of the bracket which is a toss up at this point.
District 8-
Great showing for d8! Eagan, Eastview, Sibley, and Rosemount make it. Farmington wins first and has a tough loss in second round to Orono. Apple valley wins first and has a tough loss to Orono... Woodbury goes 1 and 1 as well. Nice job, Watch out for Sibley they could go deep, Eastview has a chance as well. Eagan and Rosemount probalby won't go much further.
D10-
Unfortunately they are not here. Their top 5 could have made some good runs for sure (ER, Centennial, Blaine, Anoka and Andover)
D12-
GR carries the Flag into day 2...Great job. Have the Fargo Flyers on the Docket and should have a good chance to move on. Fargo gave themselves a walk to get here, their tourney starts now.
D15
Same as GR, Moorhead moves on!
D16-
Warroad moves on and Brianered wins first as does TRF.
good luck to all in Day 2! Nice mix of teams, Some northern teams still in the mix with most of the favorites from here on out as expected teams from the Twin Cities. Top side of the bracket has Edina...no need to say any more, bottom side is anyone's to win or lose. Good luck to all!

OG...seems to me that WBL used to be able to compete at the hightest levels and there were always a few other associations hanging around usually at least one or two who could play with most.
Right now WBL is not great at any level and Stillwater is definatley the deepest association in the group. Stillwaters Pee Wees are very deep and their B1 and B2 groups are very good, their A team is good not great. Their Bantams are good and and so is MV but again not great, both 10-15 probably in the state. B1 bantams, Stillwater went undefeated in districts.
At squirts I know stillwater has been pretty dominate for about 4 years now and this year they may have lost one maybe 2 games in d2. The fact is Stillwater has taken over for WBL as the tops in D2 for sure.
The problem is Stillwater has not been able to compete as well on a Statewide level as WBL did when they were king of the hill, and they should be able to! They have as many teams as all the big associations, they are probably top 5 in # of players in the state (I believe they have more than WBL now)! It will be interesting to see if any of the d2 teams compete well in regions and states this year. Stillwater B1 pee wee group and B1 bantam groups probably have the best chance. Bjugstads B1 team of all first years probably has the best chance.

Eagan moving on over OMG a little bit of a surprise! Again D8 with 2 of final 8 (Sibley and Eagan).
D6 with Edina and Tonka
Sibley/Tonka game should be a very good one!

Trout- WBL may end up suffering the same fate as the east side, NSP. Stillwater does seem to be the strongest no matter what level. Scott's Squirt A's from last year were a very good squirt A team.

Arizona Jr. C. 00 have played tight games for not having any 99's. I wonder if the Colorado teams are 00's. Same w/NC,Cal.

I may be wrong, but I think all the teams from outside Minnesota or ND are 00's. May be wrong about that though.

Sounds like grand rapids has had a great run! Over the year they look like they have improves a lot. I know earlier in the year they struggled with city teams. Congrats to them!

Edina takes the title 7-0 over Mtka. Two goals in the first minute of the game on defensive lapses by Mtka put them behind the eight ball and they couldn't recover.
