I mean NO DISRESPECT, I can't believe no one has said it.
2011- The year of NO PRIVATES in the AA State High School Hockey Tournament!!!
Tough loss for H-M. I really thought you were going to pull it out!! Congrats to WBL. NOW THE TRUE MONKEY.
ARE YOU GOING TO WIN THE FIRST ROUND????

How can I possibly sum this one up in a few words? What a perfect ending to the AA section playoffs.
Props to Hill-Murray for a very strong season, and a comeback that had all of us on the Bears bandwagon reeling for a while. They're still one of the classiest organizations out there, and we all know they'll be back.
But for White Bear...oh, what a night. I can't wait to see that student section at the X. All of the agony of the past few years can be forgotten now. Now, they get their shot at the other monkey on this program's back...could they dream for 1-17?
See you at State!

And I will take this moment to address Coach Sager.
Coach Sager,
I don't like you.... I don't respect you..... and you and the staff know why.
For those WBL fans that have viewed my comments, or have seen me at the rink the past couple years, you know I have been about motivation.. Not to the players.. but to the staff to get their act together and change things.. find the fortitude.. and the knowledge.. execution.. game planning.. to win a big game. The players have ALWAYS had my support.
Coach Sager - you had to overcome a huge witch hunt that I was a part of with strong indictments against you.
Congrats for staying true to yourself... and believing in yourself when none of us believed in you.
Congrats on beating H-M, and good luck in State.

Congrats to Hill also you had too much history going against you tonight.
#12 for Hill you are still the CLASSIEST Kid I know, you led by example all season and if anyone on that roster deserved a better ending it was you. Stay Classy and "Get your Boogie on" towards your future. You know we love ya!

That would mean they were actually paying attention... Good luck in the conso bracket for the 18th appearance in a row Bears!

I think we can get over the 17-0 game. Saying that Hill had this coming after that is just bush league. Great game by the Bears, I haven't seen them play with that much passion for awhile. Must be a great feeling for Birkinbine, Wahlin, and Jensen. All three are great players, and an outstanding effort by Schletty. Schulze would have been a great asset for White Bear, he was by far the best defensemen on the ice. Good luck to the Bears at State, hopefully they can break their other "curse".
Great season Pioneers, way to stay classy, you'll have another great season next year.

Shut up.
WBL played their hearts out, as did HM. It was a great game for both teams! Let's not taint this epic, roller coaster of a game with stupid comments like that. HM fans had class with their wins; WB fans should do the same.
Best of luck to WB. Represent 4AA win a win on Thursday!

The rivalry lives! Congrats to the Bears & coach Sager & his staff. They were all over the Pioneers to begin the game & perservered at the end. The staff had a game plan and it worked. Schletty was the difference. He got a ton of help from teammates blocking shots but he also made some wonderful saves on his own.
As disappointed as I was with the outcome, I had to smile seeing the joy on the faces of the WBL faithful. HM has owned them for several years and yet, they kept throwing everything they had at the Pioneers, only to be beat time after time. HM may own the quantity of wins recently, but WBL earned a quality win tonight.
For the Pionners, it was a heck of a season. As always, ya made us alum real proud. Tonight was no different. Many teams would have folded down 4-1 in the 3rd. But you fought your way back & almost pulled it out. A little humble pie for Lex & the program isn't such a bad thing. It may not taste real good right now but it sure makes ya appreciate the good stuff more when it happens.
Congrats to both teams for adding another chapter to one of the best high school hockey rivalries in the State.

Congrats to White Bear. They left it all on the ice. It was a hard earned victory. The team played with a lot of guts and pride.
However many of the WBL supporters don't deserve to have that proud of team on the ice. The "tampon" chant being one of the most classless things I've heard / seen at a sporting event.
Best of luck to WBL in State.

Where to even begin! What an emotional roller coaster of a game!
First off Mr. Sager. That was the best game plan you've ever put together in your years of coaching! The team outplayed Hill for the first two periods, the defense was stingy, the offense was more than opportunistic, and the team was not giving Hill much for chances. To be honest I can't recall more than maybe 1 or 2 Hill odd man rushes the whole game!
Then the third period... My heart literally dropped in a 7 minute span. Some tough penalties, and a well timed timeout, had woken the sleeping giant that is Hill Murray. I thought that there was no way going into OT that Hill was going to lose that game. Hill definitely had their chances in the first OT, not finishing on one that I still believe wasn't put in, but that's just how it goes sometimes.
It's so fitting that Mac got the game winner. No one has worked harder over the last few years than him, and the Bear's as a whole tonight have alot to be proud of. They got back to their identity tonight with great defense, quality goaltending, great checking, and just finishing off a game when it look like it was in doubt.
And last, congratulations to the fans and student section. This has been sooo long overdue, and the support has never gone away. The reaction after it finally hit was, well priceless.
Now only hoping there is some more magic left... See you all at the X!

Did you not hear or see this game and the results?
You're already going to write off WB? They just proved to the state they can contend with the state's elite.
**Stop escalating things in here people. Show some class, and respect one another.

17-0 is not classy --far far from it--- and don't give me its that time of the year (pedal to metal BS) Too many other "classy" teams have won it all and stopped scoring after 9 in their quarter final game...----give me a break...........Im sick of HM is classy BS---
BTW--I have Zero ties to either team...
