Mounds View is playing better. Nice wins against White Bear Lake, Roseville,Totino-Grace and Forest Lake. However they still have tough away games against White Bear Lake and Stillwater. Check back in a few weeks.

Which experts said East would go undefeated? Howie Hanson?

At least Howie is man enough to use his real name...
 Pot, meet kettle.

Howie never used his real name in his various attempts to post on this forum.

Too bad you aren't. Although we have a pretty good idea.

Who cares what Howie says. He's a turd who has a personal vendetta against certain organizations.

Too bad he's not man enough to use his name on this forum.

I am disappointed in my hometown EGF.

It seems like for several years now they have been one of the top youth teams for both Peewees and Bantams in northern MN, but when they get to high school......

Can't figure it out.

Benilde St Margarets....all that talent (supposedly) and they barely deserve to be in the top ten.

lol, good point, I guess I would say that going into the season I was neutral but I have really come to dislike the character of this team and their coach and so seeing them fall short of their potential does elicit some Happyness... :P  :P

Eagan with all the potential hasn't beat a top 10 team this year.

R u joking... I have nothing but the best wishes for EGF… they went with two A teams early when other would not… I think their ranked 5th ..but I believe they could beat any of the four ranked above them….looking forward to watching (and pulling for them) in the MNHS hockey tournament (get there…don’t let me down)

Burnsville looks to be heading towards the "most disappointed" category. Preseason prediction called for a plus 17 win season. Currently the team is sitting at 11-8-1. What happened to this team? Anybody know? Team is 6 and 6 since start of Schwans cup. Like to see them in St. Paul but they have tough schedule remaining with Prior Lake, Apple Valley and Eagan

With tHe way Edina played tonight I think the likelihood of seeing Burnsville in St Paul appears even less likely. Pretty big drop off after their first line.

what were the expectations for wins this season?
i think they only had 9/10 or so wins last season not?
they're a compettive team, not a great team.
they don't really have a go to guy for scoring, ahlgren is a playmaker not much of a goal scorer
the go to guy was brazil, why did he leave?
and i believe its the starting goalies first year varsity?
got a few weeks to put it together and make a run in sections, they still have a fairly good shot being that right now to me its a 3 team race between ff, alex and lf. and apollo is lingering at 4th
People didn't expect 11to 0.
Catching the drift yet?

I've studied it in the past and I believe EP last year was only the 3rd:
-Edina: '69 Pee Wee A champs, '71 Bantam A champs, '74 HS Champs
-Jefferson: '88 Pee Wee A champs, '90 Bantam A champs (only loss was in the national final), '93 HS champs

Roseau won PWA in '85 and was runner up in Bantam A in '87 and won the HS in '90. Interesting note: Grand Rapids was PWA runner up in '85 and was the Bantam A state champ in '87 and the HS runner-up in '90. Those two classes faced each other in the state championship each time.

Last year's EP senior class is still a step below Crowley's and a tad under Checco's, IMO, but will rank as one of the best of all time without a doubt.
