BSM has a great team with some highly skilled players I would like to see a matchup of them and Duluth East.

a rather one sided game to watch. Tonka looked lost on the big ice tonight.

Like I said early in the year they were getting their systems set and they were going to be up and down until late in the year. KP out coached Urick and Benilde with a grteat system and top end players made Tonka look really bad.

Great season by Tonka but they just lost to a better team.
I would say BSM was the better team on this night for sure, but not end my statement as a better team in general.

Whoever's hot will see the rewards.

BSM's tape-to-tape passing was phenomenal. I especially loved the high glass bank that land right on the forward's stick as he was in motion. I wouldn't want to face them at state.

Great game for BSM! It was real touching to see Jablonski out there during the medal ceremony.

I wouldn't say Jake Gardiner's career is over just yet

I'd also like to hear the beef behind the argument that Benilde's Defense is better than Minnetonka's.
5-1 win. There's your beef! :D

Benilde has always been a team with great speed, I feel that their team speed was a huge factor in last nights game. I watched most of the game on streaming via the Hub. Benilde's offense is as potent as anybody in the state and their defense is great as well. I predicted them winning this section, and they didn't disappoint.

Does anybody think that the incident with Jablonski changes a teams mindset when they play Benilde? Not trying to start any controversy but I was wondering if this puts a mental block on opposing teams. I know that most teams that played Benilde right after the incident were very careful about hits and contact in general.

They just might win the title in the new and improved no check league of Minnesota skirt hockey. Minnetonka backed off last night and it turned into a game of no check hockey. Would not want to be a ref you can flip burgers for less abuse. It is what it is.

Minnetonka is not know for physical hockey especially when they play that green team to the east.

That said Minnetonka skaters had to catch them to hit them.

Boy was I wrong on my prediction. BSM looked awsome last night. Skippers looked off their game. D couldn't handle BSM's speed. If they keep the tempo up like that I think they will be tough to beat.

You must have missed Lettieri laying out Ellegard last night. Ellegard had to be helped off by two players. Nice clean, hard hit from the front. Not from behind or in the head. Unfortunately, Baskin isn't quick enough to catch those guys on the big rink.

But if you prefer the "Slap Shot" style hockey...then go get 'em Killer.

Time to lose the sour grapes and adapt to the new rules as everyone else has. There were plenty of slashes, hooks, and hits that easily could've been called against Mtka that weren't. They were doing everything they could to keep up with Benilde but the Knights simply outworked, outskated, and outplayed the Skippers.

I don't think tonka backed off. I think they couldn't handle Benilde's speed. You have to get near em to hit 'em

The thing I enjoyed most about the games at Mariucci last night is that there were few if any stoppages of play in either game for the net being knocked off !
