This is late but you can add Max Birkinbine ( White Bear) who played at Air Force this past season. He played the majority of his junior career for Fairbanks in the NAHL

Notre Dame seems to be taking a lot of Edina players lately.Sats81 wrote:Apparently Bo Brauer (Edina) just committed to Notre Dame. Congrats. Unreal when you look at the talent level/Number of kids that will play D1 from the 2013 State Champ Hornet team.
Great news. Congrats to him.green4 wrote:Notre Dame seems to be taking a lot of Edina players lately.Sats81 wrote:Apparently Bo Brauer (Edina) just committed to Notre Dame. Congrats. Unreal when you look at the talent level/Number of kids that will play D1 from the 2013 State Champ Hornet team.
Lee, Fogerty, Ostlie, Hurley, Malmquist and now Brauer. Congrats to Bo. Great kid who is very deserving.

True, but for a kid that was essentially pushed aside as a junior, it's a great accomplishment just to be in the D1 mix - especially at a school like Notre Dame.puckbreath wrote:Sats81 wrote:Apparently Bo Brauer (Edina) just committed to Notre Dame. True, but committing to a team, does not automatically mean playing.
Agreed, and my comment pertained to any commit, not just him.Bluewhitefan wrote:True, but for a kid that was essentially pushed aside as a junior, it's a great accomplishment just to be in the D1 mix - especially at a school like Notre Dame.puckbreath wrote:Sats81 wrote:Apparently Bo Brauer (Edina) just committed to Notre Dame. That is great news...I will add him to the list. Always liked his game. Great family to.just me wrote:I do believe cline from Blaine commited to Fairbanks Congrats to that young man.
YesSCBlueLiner wrote:Legit question because I don't know how this works, can a player who makes a commitment to a school but then spends another year or two in juniors have his commitment pulled or de-commit and go to another school instead?
Yes, but not every kid gets that option. In fact, I'd say most don't. The straight-from-high-school kids are really rare. The freshmen-aged-freshmen-coming-from-juniors are a bit more common. The next tier is I-committed-in-high-school-but-was-asked-to-play-more-junior-hockey. The last tier is I-committed-as-a-hs-graduate-already-in-juniors. I think most kids come from those last two groups.SCBlueLiner wrote:Seems to me that if I had committed to a school I would want to get on campus ASAP and not mess around in juniors anymore, in case of injury, coaching changes at the school, or just a change of heart.
Once they sign the LOI, they are bound to that college unless they want to sit out a "transfer" season.SCBlueLiner wrote: Or is it they have signed a NLI and the school and player are now bound by a contract?
Great to see kids work hard, grind their way through Jrs and get a D1 offer. CongratsSuperStar wrote:Congrats to Ian Janco - Former Jefferson standout to Bemidji State via Janesville-NAHL
