We'll miss ya in 7AA, Al. Might have to venture over to an Elks section final at the Sanford Center or in St. Cloud someday, as the schedule allows.

And welcome, Blaine and Coon Rapids. The Bengals, having finally run out of Brodzinskis, may not be the powerhouse of the past decade or two in the coming years, but they're certainly a top 4ish team in 7AA. Incidentally, this is not the first time Blaine has been in a section with the Duluth area teams, as they were all together in the old one-class Section 2. I welcome the variety.

In odd fashion the Elks have been assigned to section 7 for football which clearly will lead to an East/ER neutral site matchup in the playoffs.

I believe football districts are still up in the air...more should come out in May. An AD I heard talk said they're frustrated that the MSHSL decided to do section realignments and district stuff in the same year. Now that sections have been set, the focus can switch to football districts. They're hoping to have schedules finalized by June.

I watched DE play football a couple of times over the last few years, yikes
