Chaska soph Dman Logan Broten will spend the season at Sioux Falls Power U16. Technically not an “early departure” from high school varsity since he played bantams last year (ie like MH Sam Laurila ) . He would have been top 4 D for Chaska this season .

He was WAY outmatched this weekend at the NAHL showcase... my opinion, to small, to weak, to slow, to scared, bad decision making at that level... another year at HS would help him... not his fault, genetics is what it is. Nothing personal against the kid, just what stood out in games I saw...

Looks like he just announced his commitment to Army last evening.

So it appears... all I can say is WHAT?!? Good for him... don't begrudge the kids anything... but this system or good old boy network is gross... I get it's verbal... it's a projection... but... wow... scratching my head....

With USHL teams needing to make drops yesterday to get down to a 25-player roster/protected list, I just went through each USHL team's current roster to see who all is still listed off your list. Note that some of the team's final rosters aren't up on the USHL site yet. And not to change your list but I went ahead and separated out the NAHL players since I just looked at the USHL guys.

The Fechko in question is Marcus, and Trey is the one on Trail’s roster. Trey was a senior last year. Last I saw, Marcus was on Windy City’s U18 AAA roster

Good work HHawks . Happy to turn updates over to someone else for the duration thru mid November .

For the kids who end up not USHL rostered , will have to start checking some other various team rosters where they may have backup plans for both preseason and possibly full season

Ty is showing injured . But maybe you can give us more details on Zam and Ty’s updated plans. Not being on USHL protected roster will only add to the previous speculation after their Hockey Day Minnesota photo .
