way to go chuck on those rankings....lovin the descriptions you have for each team. not to mention they are, unlike LPH and MHJ, ACCURATE.

i think that the ranking are pretty good but Hermantown should be #2 or 3 and Duluth L should be higher than warroad.

If H-Town is at 2, then GR has to be #1...so, that doesnt work.

cuck norris fan, you better put wbl way low on the rankings because they are so undeserving or a high spot. not good at all.

hey theman it seems ur from mv...already knowing the score of the game that happened not too long ago? and saying there not good at all and whatnot. just remember, they beat them 6 or 5 to 2 earlier. and also 5-3 isnt exactly a blowout...bad games can happen. im sayin this because i have watched alot of D2 games and seen white bear and have seen how good they can play. no harm at all here, sounds like mv played a great game. congrats to them on beating wb.

who have they beat:
Stillwater
Brainerd
Centennial
White Bear Lake
Eden Praire
Roseau
Warroad
Grand Rapids
Bemidji
Rochester
Tartan
Shattuck
Edina
Green Bay
Hermantown
Those are just to name a few. I would be hard pressed to see a tougher more impressive schedule than the one the Hounds are playing this year!

totally agree with you East Fan....when he said who have they beat? i thought jesus are you kidding? DE definitely one of the top clubs i have seen this year, no doubt about it.

im not from mv ilikehockey77. as i said im a retired coach who lives in the shoreview area. I am to old to referee so this is the best way to stay involved and so i went in the game.

How can you argue with DE being rated near the top? Pretty impressive list of wins so far this season. The stats speak for themselves. You beat the top teams in the state, you should be rated as such!

The Shattuck Tourney was a dandy with two Minnesota teams fighting for the title. Is this a Preview to the state title? Other than that tourney not too much else going on. The Real Rankings will be taking a break until after the Holiday Tourneys look for new rankings at the first of the year.
1. EP – A Swap at the Top Beats # 2 East 4-2
2. Duluth East – good weekend but EP is boss
3. Jefferson – Tied EP in League!
4. Andover – The Next power house?
5. Centennial – Played well this weekend beat Wayzata and Green Bay
6. Wayzata – Tough weekend at Shattuck played for the toilet bowl
7. Brainerd – Got to play to stay, have to prove what you got every week
8. Tartan – May be best team in District 2
9. Elk River – Lost to Centennial, Puts them 4th in district 10
10. Moundsview – Victory over WBL, are you good or is WBL bad?
11. Osseo – Match up with Maple grove coming up
12. Edina – Not so solid at Shattuck!
13. White Bear Lake – First Tartan Now Moundsview….looks like Sager better recruit more kids
14. Blaine – Ties Champlain Park???
15. Woodbury – Moving up in District 8
16. Grand Rapids – a 2-1 Overtime win over Roseville? Overtime????
17. Rochester North – Eagan game results?
18. Chaska –
19. Bemidji – Wins their tourney but not a lot of good talent there.
20. Lakeville South – Doing well in District 8
Outside looking in: Let’s see what you got over the holidays
Stillwater –
Hermantown –
Maple Grove –
Eagan -
St. Cloud –
ATTENTION: All Moundsview fans, if you want to toot your horn please do it on a Mustang thread, not here. Let’s leave the Real Rankings for scores and Ranking opinions.

Interesting quotes about the Shattuck Tournament. From my perspective, Duluth East should be in top ten but not at #2. Didn't impress anyone at Shattuck Tourney although they made it to the final against EP. From what I heard Shattuck was last in their own tourney. Maybe a gracious host or a rebuilding year for a usually strong team. Yes, DE beat Shattuck but tied Edina and Green Bay. DE won by a shootout in both ties but doesn't reflect that DE is so powerful.
EP is definitely at the top as Centennial, Edina and Wayzata did not impress at this weekend tourney. Edina, tied DE and Green Bay but lost both in shootouts. Beat Shattuck, a surprise, and lost easily to Dallas in the 3rd place game.
Centennial, your ranking at #5, played Green Bay in the 5th place game and won. Green Bay looked tired and Centennial looked good but didn't show up most of the weekend beating Wayzata in a shootout but losing to EP and Dallas. Wayzata, a last minute replacement for a Chicago team, probably wasn't mentally prepared for the tournament but will definitely learn from the experience.
Bottom line is that the Bantam level is very competitive and no team is a lock for the state title. Last year Edina and Centennial were the early favorites but next March in Alexandria it will be interesting who takes home the hardware.
The following are my gut picks for State at Bantam A in no paticuliar order:
Eden Priaire
Centennial
Duluth East
Tartan
Edina
Bloomington Jefferson
Wayzata
There is no doubt in my mind that it will be fun to watch and enjoy from a fans viewpoint.
