great teams
Denver-7 championships
Michigan-9 championships
Minnesota-5 championships
North Dakota-7 championships
Wisconsin-6 championships
Maine-2 championships
Boston College-2 championships
Colorado College-2 championships
Boston U-4 championships

Hardly a great program. They play in a rink that’s not even a nice high school rink. I don’t have anything against him. Im just sick of you only talking about him. And because you think he will go to bemidji dose not make him a great play. None of the people who talk about hockey on here talk about him.The only people who talk about him are the people who’s only reason for being here is to talk him up.

Ignorance is bliss.

Anybody that polls this forum asking who the best players are in a particular section, and are notable D1 prospects, they undoubtedly will list Lehrke with regards to this section. People will talk him up, and you just basically tear them/him down and disagree for no particular reason whatsoever other than seeing his name numerous times on the Section's best players list. I also believe not 1 person has talked about JUST him, either. That is just your viewpoint. Ravendalen and Marvin have been just as talked about on this forum. However, if it is 1 persons opinion that he thinks Lehrke may be better or he has a preference to him, then you should respect his opinion and just accept it for what it is.

What's also ignorant is how you list programs that have been D1 for 60+ years and compare that to a program who's been D1 for less than 10. And if you look at Bemidji's titles from the league they came from they are hanging all over their arena. Bemidji is a great program, who is on the rise nationally, and anybody that disagrees with that needs their head examined.

Schwanger you got it right. I comment on a lot of things besides Lehrke. I happen to think he is a great player regardless of where he is from. The only thing sb24 got right is that tha BSU arena is bad. However at the time it was built it was state of the art. There is a process happening right now to have a new arena built.

I agree. I've skated there numerous times for camps etc. I wish them luck in getting that new arena. It'd be great for Bemidji and the program.

 Hey SB24-- Do a little research before you trash Bemidji's hockey.

A class program in the past, present and future.

?????
Yeah, we all know what a great D2 program they had, but i would hardly call them a great D1 power yet. Sure, they could be on the rise, i hope they are, but they are certainly not there yet.

First of all i never said D-1 program i just said great program, meaning great past and on the rise where they are at. Secondly, i give plenty of props to a lot of other players in Section 8 on this board as well as some other players around the state that I have had the oppurtunity to watch. Yeah I will continue to give Lehrke all the credit i think he deserves because i have seen enough hockey over the years to know how good he is now and to see that he surely has a future in this game.

Lerhke probably has better speed than Ravendalen, but Ravendalen has better hands. It is tough to pick which one is a better all around player.

I agree. I think what will decide it is how far they go at the next level and how they do against even better competition.

Why should it be locked? It is mine and most people's opinion here that they are pretty darn close in talent. How can you definitively say 1 is better than the other for a fact right now?

I guess ill have to agree with ya...their both very talented players....and yes it would be hard to say who is all around a better player...They both got dangles and speed...I have seen both play only one time this season....maybe Lehrke can show me something in TRF tomorrow...it will be a good one to watch
Lehrke could (arguably) be the best player in the Section period, let alone top junior.
That's why I said "arguably." I think right now Marvin is the best player, but some people have varying opinions.

I watched Marvin play this year....Marvin is not FAR better...hes far bigger and strong..not better

I would hope he is far stronger. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Marvin almost 19 years old?

That shouldn't matter. All 3 of the Lehrke boys aren't known for their muscle anyways.

i agree with you on that lehrke is most likely the best junior in 8a and the only one who is close is ravndalen

After watching the game tonight lehrkes is not even in ravndalens league. He cant take a hit what so ever, he is very fast but my god if he got in traffic he was going down. He didn’t really do any dangling, im sure he can though maybe just not against a better team?
OR just a bad game?
