only asking you because i think u can give a honest answer
Yes, I do think they have a chance.
Straight up, Warroad is the better team.
Warroad has strong D and more than one froward that can challenge Lehrke.
Goalies, PR's tender is not as good of a skater I would like to have in the nets, but he is aggressive, unfortunately for PR, Warroad has more snipers than say, TRF.
PR gets everything out of the first two lines...
Can't remember the second forward on the second line, but Knapp and Winkler go very hard, hit hard and attack the net. Of course, their first line can score. As of right now, the third line is non-existent. On D without McMorrow, they have two guys that play okay, no mistakes, and Tolle is very effective. Strong on his skates, does what he can, but stays within his abilities. McMorrow has speed and can skate with the puck. How effective he will be coming off pneumonia will be critcial for PR.
Warroad counters with two lines of strong forwards and a third that would score again and again on PR's 3rd line.
D is tough. Question mark is still in the nets, although they have got good games from him.
But PR's second game will give them a test and then coming back two nights later will prove too much for them, I believe.
EGF or Bemidji will give them a good contest in the semis. TRF on their rink with a bit of revenge in mind, will also.
I think it will be EGF and Warroad in the finals. IF Chupka can keep the green boys' heads on straight.
Bemidji is too up and down to predict.
TRF is capable of winning.
PR - success breeds success. Could be someone new at the X this year.
My picks
1. Warroad - clear favorite
2. EGF - have the players and goalie to get there.
3. PR - bunch of hungry boys led by a kid with lots of talent.
4. Bemidji - young guys need to provide more, old guys need to provide more scoring less foolishness, a goalie needs to prove himself.
5. TRF - on any given day.
The rest - no chance for 3 upsets (or more).
But I would love to see Bagely win a game - just for the 5th best umpire I know.
If Walker has not won by then, I would hope they would win one, also.
Bottom line, Warroad is the one.
