Congrats to Robby!
Congrats to the dude on the same line as Forney haha....I thought he was better than Forney but thats just me......
You would think that Sue. Forney was a special talent. Things haven't gone well at UND, but he was one of the top 5 players to ever come out of TRF. Phillip was a very good player, but by no means was he better than Forney in High School. He may turn out to be a better college player however.
I watched Forney play at UND...he did NOT belong on the ice...MANY people not just me thought that Phillip was better....and now look...

and now look what? No knock on Phillip, but he hasn't exactly proven anything yet, just like Forney hasn't proven much at UND. In High School Forney was the better player and prospect...period! Forney was a gamebreaker. Forney had a great ability to create mismatches and opportunities that allowed for his linemates like Phillip and Holen to benefit. Both Phillip and Holen were great hockey players, but at the time they were not better than Forney. The future may prove different, Forneys' career isn't exactly over and Phillips' is just beginning.

Annointing Forney as a top 5 player to ever comeout of TRF is a little ridiculus. I think some players to come out of TRF would take that as an insult. I'm not very framiliar with TRF legends but i know of a few players:
Tim Berglund
Keith Anderson
Aaron Bendickson
Alec Holen
Wade Chiodo
Regardless of the college they played for I wouldn't put forney in front of any of these players.

You certainly have a good sampling of TRF hockey history. 4 of your top 5 are from the past decade. I think you are on to something...or on something.

Like i said i dont know alot of TRF LEGENDS as in OLD guys. all i'm saying is that these guys are good hockey players and I've seen most of them play in high school. As for past decades i don't know so i won't comment, but i bet there are some better ones that forney. Just because he is the most recent player to go on to somewhere else doesn't mean he is one of the best. It is unfair to the players who were doing this same thing years ago to be cast aside because they aren't fresh in our minds.

You're right.
But Michael was a very good HS player.
Hopefully things will turn to the good for him at the collegiate level.

Hope so to.

Of course that would be great. I am not anti forney. i just don't like people making those claims as it is unfair to other players who were just as good as him in high school.

I don't think it is unfair to create, and debate a completely subjective list. Opinions is the fuel that drives this message bored...get used to it.
By the way where is sue today.

He woke up, cried a bit, went back to drinkin', back to sleep.
He's hoping it 'was a nightmare!'.
He will recover, and I think the Panthers will, too.

That is a brilliant idea. While you are at it you should also research how many of TRF's greatest players were stolen by a Warroad thief in the night. That list would be interesting and I am sure SB would have something to say about it.

Every person to play hockey in warroad went there for other reasons, not hockey. Just ask anyone from warroad, they don't have anything to do with great hockey players transferring schools to play hockey for them.
