BC just won the Beanpot tonight. USCHO says it was a 7-6 Final/OT.

It makes me wonder... Why doesn't the UofM, UND, or other teams in this region have a Beanpot like tourney? It would bring great excitement and even more bragging rights to our WCHA teams. It's not essential to have a tourney like this, but it would be fun to see. UND, MN, UMD, WI would be sweet to have in it...

Just a thought.

The Gophers do a Beanpot every year. It usually involves RIT, Clarkson, Ferris State, Union and teams like that. So, they would never give up those rivalries.

I would love to see the king of Minnesota tourney. Mankato, St. Cloud, Bemidji and Duluth. The Gophs wouldn't want to participate because they would probably lose and that wouldn't look good for Coach Leechia.

Nice try, Peter.

What was that all about? Have the Avalance just given up? Who's next? Joe Sakic? Adam Deadmarsh? Ray Bourque? Sandis Ozolinsh? Mike Ricci? Uwe Krupp? I can keep going...

I see what you are saying but the Mariucci Classic is nothing like the BU, BC, NE, Harv Beanpot. Nothing like it at all. And RIT, Clarkson, Ferris, and Union are rivalries to the Gophers? Not really, they are more like "cupcake teams" in their schedule (yet they still struggle...). The Gophers can do better... Get some better teams, and man up!

And I like the fight for MN idea; they should act on that some how...

Leechia... good one.

Watched Jeopardy...

That Watson is the beginning of the end of the world. The machines will take over; like in Terminator.

However, Watson doesn't know U.S. cities so well...

Left the NHL, went to the European League, things didn't pan out with his foot injury, rehabbed and thought he could come back to the NHL, played two games, but he found that he couldn't last. He saw the writing on the board and has decided to hang up the skates. Too bad, Forsberg was the man.

My question, why does a baseball player need to ask for that much money?

Step that question up too...

Why do all professional sports athletes need to ask for that much money?

Personally I think its BS. They are entertainers majority of the pros don't contribute anything to society besides playing a game... It's flawed. But whatever, things like that will never change.
