I am looking to buy the most durable wood hockey stick possible. I don't really care about performance, I am just looking for a stick that can take all the punishment I can dish out. Do you guys have any advice? Also, can you get different curves, like on the composites? If yes, what curves do you guys recomend?

Not Sherwood.

Titans used to be durable back in the day, but they are with Koho now or something.

I've got this one, and it's treating me ok, but I'm not playing for real - just playground hockey and the odd late night "cheap ice" pick-up game at whatever arena we can get into. And yes, you can get different curves, and can find a chart here. Because I'm not playing for real, I'm more interested in keeping the puck down, so I have the "Recchi" curve on the CCM grid. When I was in school (I left just when aluminum sticks were becomming popular) I was a big Sher-Wood guy. Those things were tough and the blades rarely splintered which was nice.

But Shooter's right... if you're playng for real, get a composite.

Im in the same boat with you Govs93, I'm just looking to have fun and play. I don't want to spend the money to get a composite and I recently broke my wood stick that I've had for many years and can no longer find.

You could also just curve the stick yourself. I use a 2-piece with a wood blade and curve it myself.

A week ago i would have sworn by my Montreals but i broke two of them last week along with one of their blades. i think that when they get cold something happens with the glue so they just split right down the middle of the blade.

I'm not sure who carries them anymore, but MONTREAL, in my opinion are the best wood sticks out there right now. I'm not sure where to find them anymore though. They had stellar blades as well as regular sticks.

I just got the montreal with the european curve and it is gorgeous. I think everyone would be better off with woodys cuz u can dangle better and passes won't slip off your stick as easy
